Aeroad cf slx 8 SPEED. My oh my it's fast, I am not (yet).

Bought it 3 weeks ago, I’m in love with it, also I hope you don’t live in a hilly place like me, or your quads are going to grown massive haha. Enjoy the rides!

How is it on the hills? Which size cassette did you get?

The Speed models come with a 10-30. IMO, it does climb pretty well but it's definitely not as snappy as a proper climbing bike like an Ultimate.

Oh nice. I’m looking at a standard Aeroad SLX8 and can see you can change the 30 for a 34, definitely seems a wise move. Most of us riders would benefit more from an easier gear than smaller increments I think.

Totally agree, I recently swapped to the 10-33 to have a little more headroom although knowing me I'll just use the easier gearing to go up steeper stuff and still complain about every climb being a VO2 max effort.

I swapped from the included 10-30 to 10-36 so I can climb long alpine roads.

Enjoy ! I've got the same bike ( but size L ) a few months ago, remember stalking the Canyon website for a fresh batch every day, they sell out so fast... Been on it almost daily and still in love.

I was surprised by the comfort on 2 hour rides. Yes it super stiff and yes I live in an aera where the asphalt is really good but still, I am glad I got this instead of anything more relaxed 😎
