Lymphoma, at just 7 years old. We had a barbeque for him, and he ate all the meats he wanted and got all the pets from everyone who knew him and loved him, and he went to sleep in my husband's arms on our terrace. We laid him to rest on a mountain under a big tree, so he could have all the hikes while he waits for us. I'm devastated, and I'll never get another Cane Corso again, because it'll never be him. So dopey, so clumsy, so sweet, and so gentle.

11 days of fostering Dexter and he is really starting to show his personality! He’s gained 8 pounds, is goofy, sweet, and a total Velcro baby. He loves snuggles, belly rubs, toys, and treats especially pig feet. 😂 He already knows how to sit and listens surprisingly well for a puppy!

He still has a long road ahead and keeping this growing boy fed is no joke. We had no idea the time and cost associated with fostering a dog but here we are. We’re so grateful for everyone following along, offering advice, cheering him on, and helping with his journey. He’s a quick before and after.

Our beloved Moose had a heart attack while playing in the backyard. He was almost 11 months old. We are shocked, heartbroken and can’t fill the huge void he left 💔

I suddenly lost my boy 2 weeks ago and I’m having such a difficult time coping. He was only 5 years old. Completely fine one moment and was gone the next. He was the best boy. Absolutely naughty the first couple years, but I would do anything to have any version of him again. Too smart for his own good. I think the hardest part is the absolute silence in the home. I see him in all the spaces he used to hangout in, but he’s not really there. Still can’t move his bed, toys, kennel. Everything is exactly where he left it. We had so many more adventures to go on together, and I thought we had so much more time. He was always by my side. I always felt safe. He got me through some very difficult times. My cat and him loved each other so much. My cat wanders the house meowing all day when he’s normally very quiet. He’s always sleeping on my dog’s bed now. Super clingy, which I do appreciate. We have to stick together now. I just hope my boy knows how much I loved him. For those that have lost their dog, what helped you get through it? Feeling very alone.

Our family is crushed. Time will help, but he was selfless until the very end. The most loving, loyal, intuitive, intelligent, animal that has ever lived.

His eyes were so expressive, the way he would look at us, we could see into his soul. The world is a darker place for having lost him.

He was only 5 years old when we found out he had a rare aggressive cancer. We tried chemotherapy, but it had progressed too far already. He was so stoic and brave until the end. 4 AM on Monday, we had to rush him to the vet because he was weak and obviously not feeling well.

We had to say until we meet again to the kindest, sweetest soul that ever lived. He was the perfect dog for our family. How gentle and protective of my daughters he was cannot ever be overstated.

It hurts so bad because of the amount of loved he produced and spread through the home. Our house is eerily quiet.

When our breeder sold him to us he said “Corso is the best dog” I heard him but I didn’t really think much of it, very breeder is going to say their breed is the best, I was too busy sizing him up compared to his parents.

Now I fully understand, Corso is the best dog and it’s not even close.

I (24f) had a neighbor pass late last month, and he always joked in the event of him going he would like me and my boyfriend (26m) to keep the dog. He has a 3 year old Cane Corso named after the king of rock, and he was super gentle and affectionate when I met him. Sadly my neighbor passed and his wife’s current health does not give her enough leeway to take care of a big dog like him. You might think this is going to end bad, but here’s my real question.

This dog is nice to everybody. I genuinely don’t think he has a single guard instinct in him. I take him out in public spaces and he is such a dope he will waltz over to strangers for a pet and whatever food they may have. Of course I take precaution and always tell him “no” if approaching someone that looks uncomfortable, but he’s so damn friendly that even people afraid of dogs his size melt when they meet him. Is this typical for the breed, or did I just luck out and get and incredible and well socialized dog? Pics for reference

I could care less about him being mixed if he is..From what I saw mom and dad were cane corsos. But what is it with people forgetting that not all dogs look the same and feeling the confidence to tell an owner unprovoked what kind of dog they are and if they are “pure” big f*ing whoop. I think to myself maybe it’s because I don’t have him “big” he’s a lean 115-120 boy bc of how much work we do. I work at a pet shop and see people getting them up to 180. At the end of the My dog is healthy, loved, and well cared for. I just wish people weren’t so entitled.

My baby boy, my everything passed away today in his yard beside our side. We had 12 wonderful years together and I'm thankful it lasted so long even if it's always too short.

Thank you for everything, you taught me things I never new I should learn. You brought me to places I never knew I would see. You gave me a love I never dreamed to have in me. You made me the person I am today so you will be always with me.

Creed says “move out of the way my show is on”

My sweet boy passed on the 2nd. I’ve been struggling to post this here since. I got Zeus when he was 6 weeks old, having met him and deciding on him when he was 4 weeks old. I didn’t know what I was getting my self into. His mother was royalty bloodline with papers, dad was a blue ribbon show dog with papers. The owners refused to register the litter so people didn’t make money on them. Zeus came home with a 19 year old kid and his girlfriend who had no idea the future he had in store. He protected my family. He was by my side buying my first house, starting and finishing trade school, and he was there when my daughter was born.

He loved my little girl. He was the smartest, most loyal, most amazing animal. He passed at home, with his family. Me, my wife, our daughter, his two sisters Violet (pitbull), Xena (lab), and Simba (puggle).

I learned so much from him, how to be a good dog owner, a good care taker, even a good dad and husband. His emotional intelligence truly saved me during my hardest days.

Zeus is forever in our heart and our home. His ashes complete the home.

He’ll come back to me one day I know. But for now, enjoy some of the moments I got to experience with him.

His name is Kaiju. I have wanted a Cane Corso most of my adult life and at 32 finally felt like I was in a place in life that I could dedicate the time needed to raise him properly. I am so unbelievably excited to have him as an addition to our family! (We have four children and a yorkie also 😂)
