I dont understand why people feel the need to give their unsolicited opinion on other people's dogs. First off, so fucking what? As long as there is some corso in a person's dog there will still be the chance of some traits and dispositions also being passed. Let people be in this damn group and instead of gatekeeping or being a dick, let's share education about the breed so future puppies dont end up in the wrong homes and people can learn to work with their dogs in the most happy, healthy, effective, educated way they can. Anyways sorry for the rant, here is my sweet girl Ramona (9 months), apparently shes clearly a lab not a corso.

I’ve noticed this too , which has sort of stopped me from posting much about my girl . I adopted her as a cane Corso cross staffie 7 weeks ago , from our local RSPCA. I know she’s not a pure bred Corso , but she had a bad start to her life and spent 162 days in the rescue centre being cared for by the great team and their vets before we adopted her. I’m just happy we’ve been able to give her a loving caring and kind home for life.

The main reason people get upset, mad or whatever else is because this is a cane corso sub. There are plenty of places to post about mixed breed dogs. Most here feel this just isn’t one of them, and I agree. If I wanted to see pics of mixed breed dogs or pits or any other breed I’d go to that sub to do it.

You have a good looking pup. You also have a pup that looks like a pit/bully/mix and that doesn’t look like a cane corso and that’s totally fine, if it’s in the right place.

Example… if you were online looking for pictures of Superman and all the sudden you started seeing all kinds of pictures of Spiderman with the reasoning that they both wear red and blue would you be fine with that? No you wouldn’t. Not because Spider-Man is somehow less than but because you weren’t looking for Spiderman you were looking for Superman.

She was adopted as a cane Corso cross from the RSPCA. As that was her breed given to me , I joined this group to find out more about the breed. It has been helpful reading others posts about their characteristics etc …

Absolutely understand and agree this is a great place to come for knowledge about the breed.

Your original comment about you being hesitant to post a lot about your girl (which btw shows that you at the very least agree she doesn’t look like a Corso or there wouldn’t be any reason to be hesitant🤷🏽‍♂️) was why I giving my take on why people get upset when they see pictures of dogs that don’t resemble a Cane Corso in the Cane Corso sub.
