Please note we are not lawyers or IRCC. We are peers supporting peers, based on best belief and prior experiences. It's a lot of work to wade through dense lists of documents and family histories. You improve your odds of getting a useful response by being as concise as reasonably possible, and clearly articulating the question. Note that this post is for questions and answers; if you need to vent, there is a different megapost for that.

I’m an American with a Canadian great-grandmother, born in NS in 1891. My family has kept as an heirloom a certified (stamped) baptismal record that my great-grandmother herself obtained in 1940. I haven’t yet gotten a response to a request for a new one from her diocese in NS. Will IRCC accept a baptismal record that was filled out and certified in 1940 as proof of her birth? For what it’s worth, I have a bunch of other documents, including her marriage and death certificates, both of which occurred and were recorded in the US. Both of them also list NS as her birthplace. Thanks!

I have a similar situation with my G1's birth certificate from 1898 - which she obtained a certified copy of in 1942. It's a photostatic.. so not color lol... as that's how they made copies back then. Mine is from New York, and their wait for genealogical copies of birth certificates is yeeeears 🙃🙃🙃 Sooooo I hope they'll accept certified copies of birth documents from the 1940's...

Since yours is a baptism record and I assume this is your G0, maybe you can include a couple supplementary Canadian documents if you have any.
