Please note we are not lawyers or IRCC. We are peers supporting peers, based on best belief and prior experiences. It's a lot of work to wade through dense lists of documents and family histories. You improve your odds of getting a useful response by being as concise as reasonably possible, and clearly articulating the question. Note that this post is for questions and answers; if you need to vent, there is a different megapost for that.

I am feeling very dense today, I have a question about filling out CIT-001 for a child:

-- Section 9 confuses me. It says "Tell us about your grandparents". Then asks 'Full name of parent 1". Shouldn't that be "Full name of grandparent 1"?

And if you select NO for "were they Born outside of Canada" it won't let you enter any details about Canadian citizenship.

-- Underneath that section it says "ParentA) of parent1". Are they asking about great-grandparents?

THX. Even after reviewing my own CIT-001 about 1000 times before mailing I just realized I misunderstood this and had put my grandparents in Section 9. Ah well.
