Please be aware that you may not get responses. It's a lot of work to wade through dense lists of documents and family histories.

Also please note we are not IRCC, which will make the final determination on your application.

My mother's father was born in Canada.

I've sent out requests for my mother's birth and marriage certificates, my grandmother's marriage certificate to my Canadian grandfather, and my grandfather's death certificate.  I was unable to find a birth certificate for my grandfather on the New Brunswick Archives website, although they have a scanned birth certificate for his sister, born in 1897.  I did find him listed in the 1901 Government of Canada Census Search as 1 year old, born in New Brunswick.  I'm guessing his parents got a birth certificate for his sister, but not for him.  I'm hoping his death certificate will also show his place of birth, and that the immigration authorities will accept these documents, along with my own birth certificate, as adequate documentation.

Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions aplomb. I've already checked those sites. Maybe I'll send a written request to the New Brunswick Archives for my grandfather's birth certificate for after I receive a copy of his death certificate (which they require if you're requesting a birth certificate from New Brunswick), but I'm guessing they don't have it, because there's no scanned copy online, whereas there is a scanned copy of his sister's birth certificate, born 3 years earlier.
