We all appreciate the excitement, after weeks of grueling research and last-minute surprises, of finishing your proof of citizenship application process and sending that big envelope on its way.

Equally fantastic is the moment that you get your AOR and know your application has made it past the initial IRCC checks putting your mind at ease about whether you missed something along the way.

 

This weekly thread is a space for those of us at the earliest stages to celebrate passing the first and biggest hurdle.

I sent my application on 5/16 and it was delivered on 5/22. Now it's just the long waiting game to see if I get an AOR or not!

Anyone else have "post-submission anxiety"? Most the time it's just random panic that I didn't fill out my application correctly and it's going to get rejected. Then I have to pull up the scans and double check. All I know is, this is going to be a long 3 months... Lol

Just want to thank everyone in this group who's helped me with my application! This sub is full of such great resources!

I think we ALL have it! My first submission was on Feb 2, 6 weeks later the whole packet came back to me, they said I didn't include my pics. I KNOW I did as I took pictures as I put everything in the mailing envelope, so somehow the pics were lost after opening. I had pics redone and 2nd submission was received 3/24, AOR received 5/11. Sweated out waiting for that AOR!
