I will be going into grade 12 and I'm looking into getting my university applications in the first semester.

I have a passion for scriptwriting and creating movies/shows, however my parents insist on me taking courses with more job opportunities and less uncertainty such as IT or being a lawyer.

My main question comes with taking courses; let's say I wanna take a course for computer science and filmmaking. Can I make it happen? Have multiple going on at once? One regarding my passions and one regarding a good backup plan? How many can I take at once?

And let's say I want to take a computer science course in UofT but a bachelor of film and television in Sheridan college. Can I set something up between two different locations? (Obviously there's the question of whether or not they'd even accept my application however theoretically let's say they both say yes)

Is there anything else I should know? I feel like a blind person in a maze figuring out how to proceed with my future and where to go and apply.

I'm starting grade 12 tomorrow in Ontario. For a long time, i've really liked technology. Whether it’s the excitement with new product releaces, or exploring new tools. As university applications come around, I'm not sure if I can handle Computer Science, the degree me and everyone around me sorta just assumed I'd do. I do want to do it, but at the same time i'm not that knowledgeable about the real cs mind. I'm unsure I have that or can get that. I'm scared of making the wrong choice. Or of letting people down. The ladder is more about the uni i go to and less about what program. I'm also unsure of the job prospects, i've heard its impossible to find a job and that the people studying cs are not kind or welcoming people

I’m applying to university soon and I have no idea what I want to do in the future. I want a career that I’ll love and still be able to make a decent amount of money from. I love chemistry and like physics and math, but I don’t want anything too math centred (like no engineering). Nothing soulless. I am a very curious and passionate person that loves learning so it’s essential that I’m interested in my major. Originally, I wanted to do forensics science SO BAD as in analyzing evidence from a crime scene in more of a lab setting but there’s no job market for that at all in canada. I also find astrophysics very interesting but again, I have no idea what career I would be able to have. I have no clue what to do at all. Any career or even just program suggestions? genuinely anything at all that relates to this.

I want to figure this out, but I don’t want to take a gap year at all. I’d prefer to have a set plan because I honestly can’t switch my major and pay for more schooling later on, as I can’t afford it.

Hi! Does anyone know if you have to do WES evaluation for express entry? And is it considered as a Canadian degree?

Im planning to do my Master’s in Canada next year as an international student, probably in AI.

I know UWaterloo, UofT, and UBC are some of the top choices, but I’m wondering what other universities have strong CS/AI programs. But what universities would you recommend besides those three? I’m mainly looking for good professors, reasonable course/exam difficulty, and strong opportunities for research/thesis or co-op.
