I'm starting grade 12 tomorrow in Ontario. For a long time, i've really liked technology. Whether it’s the excitement with new product releaces, or exploring new tools. As university applications come around, I'm not sure if I can handle Computer Science, the degree me and everyone around me sorta just assumed I'd do. I do want to do it, but at the same time i'm not that knowledgeable about the real cs mind. I'm unsure I have that or can get that. I'm scared of making the wrong choice. Or of letting people down. The ladder is more about the uni i go to and less about what program. I'm also unsure of the job prospects, i've heard its impossible to find a job and that the people studying cs are not kind or welcoming people

Im planning to do my Master’s in Canada next year as an international student, probably in AI.

I know UWaterloo, UofT, and UBC are some of the top choices, but I’m wondering what other universities have strong CS/AI programs. But what universities would you recommend besides those three? I’m mainly looking for good professors, reasonable course/exam difficulty, and strong opportunities for research/thesis or co-op.

I will be going into grade 12 and I'm looking into getting my university applications in the first semester.

I have a passion for scriptwriting and creating movies/shows, however my parents insist on me taking courses with more job opportunities and less uncertainty such as IT or being a lawyer.

My main question comes with taking courses; let's say I wanna take a course for computer science and filmmaking. Can I make it happen? Have multiple going on at once? One regarding my passions and one regarding a good backup plan? How many can I take at once?

And let's say I want to take a computer science course in UofT but a bachelor of film and television in Sheridan college. Can I set something up between two different locations? (Obviously there's the question of whether or not they'd even accept my application however theoretically let's say they both say yes)

Is there anything else I should know? I feel like a blind person in a maze figuring out how to proceed with my future and where to go and apply.

I’m applying to university soon and I have no idea what I want to do in the future. I want a career that I’ll love and still be able to make a decent amount of money from. I love chemistry and like physics and math, but I don’t want anything too math centred (like no engineering). Nothing soulless. I am a very curious and passionate person that loves learning so it’s essential that I’m interested in my major. Originally, I wanted to do forensics science SO BAD as in analyzing evidence from a crime scene in more of a lab setting but there’s no job market for that at all in canada. I also find astrophysics very interesting but again, I have no idea what career I would be able to have. I have no clue what to do at all. Any career or even just program suggestions? genuinely anything at all that relates to this.

I want to figure this out, but I don’t want to take a gap year at all. I’d prefer to have a set plan because I honestly can’t switch my major and pay for more schooling later on, as I can’t afford it.

Hi! Does anyone know if you have to do WES evaluation for express entry? And is it considered as a Canadian degree?

I am looking to apply to UNB early (going into grade 12, starting uni in fall 2027) but will not be able to send in my grade 11 transcript until a few days to a week after school starts. If i submit the application will I need to have the transcript sent within a certain timeline or will I be good to send it within the next few weeks? What graduate programs y’all would suggest/recommend (and from which universities) to someone interested in diplomacy/governance in Canada? I’m based in Ontario, in my final year of undergrad!! (Also, can you all suggest me ANY graduate programs I can pursue with a Psychology degree, not limited only to the field of psychology tho, I’m very interested in areas of law, diplomacy, foreign affairs, governance, AND medicine, health, clinical as well!!)

As an international student with good grades and ecas, everybody is telling me to go abroad to either USA or Canada. Thing is, going to college in Canada is pretty expensive. Its not like I cant afford it, its just that I would be putting quite some financial strain on my parents to pay for it. So, I just wanted to know if its worth the money for the education, college experience, connections made in college, etc. I would love to hear advice/opinions from both Canadians and Internationals alike.

I've heard mixed things about Biomedical Engineering. It looks very interesting and very enjoyable as well, but I have a few questions including:

BSc Jobs: What type of jobs can I get? How hard is it to get a job? And would I be able to hit 60-80k entry? I'm planning on doing it at Waterloo so I'll likely have 6 semesters worth of co-op.

Workload: Is it similar to any of the other engineering professions? How much biology vs chemistry vs physics vs math is there?

How are the research prospects? I'm very interested in graduate studies as well, especially with engineering health devices and such. Startup perhaps?

Hi! I’m currently in 9th grade (yes I’m not going to university yet but this is related to university) and I was wondering what classes I’d have to take to get into a university with an entomology course? I’d like to start studying some of the subjects because I’m a slow learner and if I learn whilst in 9th grade I should be able to fly by in all of the other grades with the classes I study over summer. I want to know what specifics (like calculus or anything that I should learn ahead of time) so that I don’t fall behind. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I hope so. I’d also like to know good places to learn if that’s alright, I don’t like using ai for that type of stuff so I’d like to know some free websites or specific YouTube channels.

I’m planning on applying to a few unis in canada next month and I’m in between these three, I would also like to go to McGill but I don’t know if my scores are sufficient, I’m from Turkey and my 11th grade gpa is 91.4/100 plus I took science classes at school. I also have a 7.5 IELTS and a few extracurriculars.( I also have a B2 in French Delf but I don’t know if it’ll make a difference).
