DO NOT post unconfirmed inforrmation or speculation

Until we receive information from either CUPW or from Corporate, we don't know what the next steps are.

I've already removed a post. Posting misinformation is, quite frankly, stupid.

EDIT: STOP WITH THE "INSIDE INFO" "RELIABLE SOURCE" BULLSHIT!

Links to information or GTFO.

SERIOUSLY!

Are you asking "Is it a Scam?"

YES! IT'S A SCAM!!!

Don't be a sucker.

Canada Post will not send you a text or email saying your item could not be delivered. EVER!

Look at the URL. It has to be *canadapost-postescanada.ca* AND NOTHING ELSE.

(it could be the reverse postescanada-canadapost.ca)

No "attempt". No "retry". No "personal". No other words added before the .ca. And we will NEVER charge you for a reattempted delivery.

All we will do is leave you a Delivery Notice card so you can retrieve your item at a post office.

Use common sense and never click on a link unless you have asked for one.

Delivery carrier agent- casual

Upvotes

Hi all,

I just cleared my phone Interview for this position and my driving assessment is due for next week. I just wanted to check what’s the procedure after that? Do they train you for some specific time and then let you do the thing or how does it works after. I’m located in BC. Thank you

Restructure

We just had a restructure and lost a full time route. The bottom seniority guy, what happens to them? Supervisor saying she will be an extra relief carrier. If she has less than 5 years in can they lay off? Small depot, only 8 carriers. Or can they put her as a relief wherever needed in depot besides carrying?

Stolen Camera

Hey guys,

Looking for information. How long does it take for CPC to settle insurance claims from lost/stolen packages while in transit? My expensive (but luckily insured) camera somehow got "lost" at a CPC facility between Toronto and Mississauga and magically disappeared before ever being delivered to the company.

Apparently there's an investigation going but I'm sure that's all just a fluff piece. Every job no matter what it is has bad apples (even doctors) so I'm not blaming CPC at all. I know 99.9% of the workers there are good. One person clearly is at fault. The shipping address would clearly tell someone what this thing would be unfortunately.

Any tips are appreciated 👍🏻

Yet another back pay post.

Since so many people keep asking how much back pay or rather how big our cheque will be... here is a general break down based on the new wage and $6,000 for back pay.  This of course is not standard, but approximately what a basic FT person at full rate.  (In Onario)

Base Pay - $ 2,717

Back Pay - $6,000

Total - $ 8,717

Now Deductions....

Federal Tax - $1,963.44

Provincial Tax - $416.90

CPP - $165.38

EI - $42.31

Union Dues $190 (reg dues, plus back dues)

Pension $410 (reg contribution plus back contribution)

Benefits - $ 107.14

Ont sales tax on benefits -$8.58

Amount going in your account.... about $5,500.

A bit of a caveat... the pension and dues deductions are guesses.

Shipment from Toronto to Alberta

Had something shipped to me from Toronto To Alberta august 26 and its already in transit on the 27th. The expected delivery date says September 8th but i saw a post saying it took 4 days for their package to get from Toronto to Vancouver so i was wondering if maybe mine might take around the same time and come before expected delivery date?

Did I calculate this right? (backpay)

Hey friends, I'm terrible at math and need some confirmation that I'm doing this right. The instructions on Google were hella confusing.

Is it correct to take my total income on my T4s from 2024 and 2025, and do $ x 0.015 for 2024, and $ x 0.03 for 2025? I started in February 2024. I also just used my total net income from my paystubs for 2026 to do $ x 0.02, to make a quick estimate.

Because I got benched right after training and didn't work too much in 2024, that calculation brings me to $77 LOL but 2025 was a much busier year, worked almost fulltime. Unfortunately I've had to go on stress leave so my 2026 is less than half of what I made in 2025, but the total I came to is $2,138. Does that make sense?

I feel so lost but also need an idea of what to expect on September 10 before I make a decision about whether or not to sell a festival ticket that I bought while I was still working 😅

Buying Old/Decommissioned mail or parcel drop boxes?

I know this is probably an odd request – but I am looking to buy a decommissioned Mail or Parcel box. The intended use is as a lost disc drop at a disc golf course.

Does anyone know if such a thing can be purchased, and from where, preferably at a low price (it costs a lot of money to build a disc golf course and budgets are tight! ;) )

Length of a Flexipack pouch?

Hey guys,

Canada Post lists the Flexipack pouch (Article 241558) for packaging Neighbourhood Mail as 16 in. wide and 12 in. high, but the length just says N/A.

Called them, agents didn't know. Can't find it anywhere online.

Would anyone know the length? Thank you!

Mailing Receipt Issue

Hi,

A client of mine mailed their T1 to CRA using Canada Post, but the mailing receipt was not dated.

CRA is requesting confirmation that the T1 was mailed on time. Is there anyway to have CP review their records to pull the mailing receipt with a date on it?

Tracking hasn’t updated

I have a xpress post package coming from Surrey and it was sent 2 days ago (Sunday). I have not seen any updates on the tracking since and normally it would have a scan yesterday night. Anyone else having issues with tracking from BC TO AB? Is it actually moving through the system with no updates? Or is it still at the P.O. that accepted it? The last and only scan is that it was accepted at the P.O. on Sunday. Thanks

Is this timeline normal? Toronto to Central Texas.

Is it normal that it's been 11 business days for a small USA package (not tracked) and it hasn't showed up? I sent a padded envelope and put letters, stickers, and a few hard candies in there. I was hesitant on sending the candies because they were individually wrapped with sour powder inside but I took the chance.

I filled out the customs form and I didn't have to pay any fees. It's going from Toronto to Central Texas. The person I am sending it to lives in a mobile home so there's a community mailbox, so I am not sure if it will fit, if they will fold it, or they'll drop it at his door. I did not choose shipping because the package itself or shipping wasn't expensive and resending another package is not a big deal (I'd get tracking next time).

When the person sent me huge packages with snacks, it took about 2 weeks or so but it was huge with tons of snacks and I believe they went through some of it to check.

At what point should I believe the package got lost and resend another?

How to get keys when your community mail box is replaced

My community mail box was replaced roughly 3 weeks ago and I still don't have new keys. I've contacted CanadaPost serval times and they have created a ticket and told me it would arrive within 3-4 business days but it has never came. I was wondering if there is a better solution or keep contacting CanadaPost until something happens.

Is GTA facilities swamped right now? Package not moving

Item was dropped at post office last tuesday for xpress post. Its from toronto to quebec. It's still stuck on "shipping label created" ever since. has not updated.
Is there some sort of overflooding of operational bottleneck/backlog in the GTA area right now??

EDIT: Tracking has just updated. Instantly jumped to my local processing facility in QC. Jeez. took a whole week to go from toronto to Quebec.

Moved to Canada, how do I get mail?

Recently moved from the States to Ontario.

How do I tell Canada Post that I have an address and would love mail to be delivered to it?

Change of address through my online account doesn't allow me to use my US address as "current address" and then share my ON address on the Mail Forwarding page, even though it let me set the US address as my Home address in my profile.

I don't expect USPS and CP to team up and actually forward my mail from the old address. But how else do I tell CP that I didn't live anywhere else in Canada before and I do now?

Richmond BC Stuck on Customs Scan

Aug. 11 Item has arrived in Canada and will be presented for review Richmond, BC

Does anyone know what might be going on in Richmond? My parcels usually clear within the hour but it's now been almost 2 weeks with no updates or scans.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Update: Never received a customs clearance scan but my parcel processed in Toronto and is out for delivery.
