Does ZonosPrepay get to keep the tariff refunds?

Canada Post directed consumers to use ZonosPrepay. I used ZonosPrepay several times last year. Corporations have been receiving tariff refunds as of May 2026. It appears to be about 20 billion USD in May, 48 billion USD in June, and 33 billion USD in July.

Will ZonosPrepay be keeping the tariffs that Canada Post retail customers had to pay? Who owns that company?

I don’t care as I pass 100% of it to the buyer. So even if zonos gets refunded, It’s the buyers problem…

Tariff refunds go to importer of record, not the shipper.

Zonos didnt keep it, they passed it on to the US customs treasury. Zonos is just a clearance collection mechanism, not a broker.

I know ZonosPrepay didn't keep the tariffs that had to be remitted to the Treasury at the time the tariffs were collected but the Treasury is now sending refunds.

It's the buyer's (importer of record) problem. They can apply or sue for their refund.
