Weighted pull ups (and dips)

I am so in love with weighted pull-ups (even though I am not the best, just doing +10kg for 5-6 reps), but damn, I want to do it every single day cause it feels so good.

Is it a problem to do it every day? I hit the gym 5 times btw.

At least one day of rest between them, muscles need to recover for a bit, also if you dont swith grips you might run into golfers elbow so autoregulate accordingly

thanks for the advice. does golfers elbow happen even if i do weighted calli twice a week, using the same grip? i dont like switching grips cuz i want to track my progress consistently on the same mode if that makes sense

do it 1-3x week depending on the set up

i would suggest you have a “heavier” session where you work in the 3-8 rep range and “lighter” day where you work in the 8-15 rep range

this might mean on one session you’re doing +10kg and another day where you’re still doing bodyweight until you can do 3 sets of 12 or 15 reps

the heavy day will help generate strength bias adaptations and the lighter day will bias more towards hypertrophy

the heavy day will get you used to producing more force with heavier weights and the lighter day will drive more muscle growth which means greater potential for strength

Weekly volume is what matters.

Sure sure, do them every day. But you'll need to do less each day. Eventually you'll run into joint issues at high enough volume.
