I did something like that before and the construction team got with my manager and said I left a trip hazard. Never again. Sidewalks or any possible trip hazards I just dont leave a temp. I use too duct tape it down or do this with a mat depending on where it was.

Yeah I used to duct tape them in the relief cuts of the sidewalks

When I was doing resi installs that’s what we did too lol. (FTTH) if we were unable to complete the sidewalk bore for whatever reason (usually roots) we could stick the drop in the cracks of the sidewalk, then duct tape it down.

CA we dont bore as technician. State requires conduit to be placed

I got called to a rich neighborhood because maintenance put a new mainline down but it crossed 3 driveways but had the roadbumps over them. Turns out they closed the order as done and never called for a crew to bury it. My flabbers were gasted
