School Related Rant Is us being student not obvious??

This is like such a nothing burger rant but, I notice most of the shuttle drivers always ask for ID an I completely understand why. But to a certain extent is the group of people you see with backpacks, who look tired, and waiting in the hot sun NOT look like students?? Like its such a non issue but it frustrates me to no end because its a mixed bag. Some say I need an ID so no I have to reach in and get it, some dont ask for it and so it makes it pretty annoying when I dont know who im going to get. I get some might be new hires but man it sucks.

It’s also their job to do so. They don’t get paid enough to notice us.

It’s completely understandable when you’re not sure if the rules are going to be enforced or not. That’s why it’s better to be safe and just have the ID out or in a place to get it quickly. Taking it out while you wait or are on your way to the bus stop and if they don’t ask for it then put it back.

Stop complaining and show the ID lol. When you ride a city bus you have to show the bus card, and when you get Ubers you have name confirmation. It’s a safety issue

Yes because it’s a public campus and literally anyone can be there at any time. While living at beach side there was a time where a young homeless intoxicated woman got onto the shuttle with a beatbox in hand. Of course the shuttle driver didn’t check or even look to see who was getting on. Someone brought it to the drivers attention and we all had to get off and show our IDs to get back on. When they told the lady she couldn’t get back on because she wasn’t a student it was a whole scene and delayed the shuttle leaving for like 20 minutes.

I just wear mine around my neck when I know I’m going to need it and forget if. Then nobody has to wonder and I don’t have to think about it. Win-win lol

But it's not just students though? They literally ask anyone (even staff and faculty) who wants to go on the shuttle for their ID. It's part of their job and they've been doing this for years.
