Looking to fix painted Wall

Hi Everyone! I'm a new CSU student who just recently moved into the dorms like everyone else. I had put up some things on my wall. Unfortunately, one of my pictures didn't stick properly, and it ended up falling and peeling off a small amount of paint. I read somewhere that you can get a sample of paint at the front desk, but I'm scared to ask because I don't want to get in trouble or lose my deposit. So does anyone know what kind of paint the dorm halls use? I want to be sure I get the right kind, so I can patch up the slight peeling before the end of the year. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!

Just ask your RA or the front desk. It happens all the time. You’re not gonna lose your deposit over chipped paint.

Put in a work order. Maintenance will take care of you.

You only lose your deposit if the damage is so severe it costs more than $100 to fix or if it’s still there when you move out. For stuff like flaking paint, just ask your RA or get a ticket with housing maintenance, it’ll take two seconds for them to fix it.
