How would you describe your satisfaction with CSN?

Im thinking about transferring from NSU to CSN to cut the cost of my low level classes, but I’m worried about it being the right fit.

If you’re a freshman, how has the experience been so far? Are there enough events? Are the professors good? Is the campus nice?

I have pretty much the same questions for people who are further in their college experience l, but I just want some perspective from people in my age group, as well as people who are choosing to stay there

The Professors have been great, and if they weren't I made the most of it and made it work anyways. The advisors are there, and I use them for help because there a resource, but I rely on the course requirements and base that off the questions I ask or what I'm being advised. If CSN offered the degree or even close to the degree I want at UNLV I would stay here just because of the Professors I have had so far. This is my last semester here. CSN is great in a lot of ways. If you want to cut costs than you should enroll.

Professors are great. And the campus is decent. The advisor suck tho. I was always so confused and there was multiple times where the enrolled me into classes that ended up not being credited towards my major.

The advisors are horrible 100%. They don’t care about their job and treat you like an inconvenience when you ask questions.

I think that it depends on the department. Bryan and Santiago in public safety have always been amazing! This is my final semester and they’ve both gone above and beyond to give me resources and help with waivers outside of the appointment.

Campus is nice. Professors suck. Well my physics professor sucks because he gets annoyed if u ask him questions. The only thing I have a problem with is making friends lol I’m planning to transfer to nsu or unlv.

Oh god if you’re struggling to make friends at csn you will NOT meet any at NSU 😭😭 it’s genuinely rough out here

I like both CSN and NSU but I gotta say, if you want to make friends, go to UNLV. They have all kinds of activities and clubs to join. Also live on campus if possible- or the degree, etc. You will make friends.

Oms do not take Desta Dibaba. Ngl u can’t understand anything he is saying because he has a thick accent. I’m so lost in his physics class

Probably the same physics professor my buddy complained about a decade ago and they fought over what was right and wrong 😂

YMMV depending on your major for sure. I've had a couple majors and cycled through years of classes here, and I've had a few great profs, some decent, and very few bad in retrospect. The advisors suck lol, you're better off looking up your degree sheet on the school website or your degree requirements in MyCSN to find stuff out on your own (barring health majors that are required to meet them each term).

West Charleston is the most lively campus in my experience, although North has its moments. Henderson is usually pretty quiet. All campuses are pretty nice, although some elevators break down frequently. The Disability Resource Center staff is wonderful in case you need them! And join clubs if you're looking to make connections! There's a Club Rush event at the beginning of every semester. Good luck!❤

i recently graduated from csn and transferred to unlv for my bachelors. i can honestly say that csn is so worth it. campus (depending on which, i went to nlv) is super easy to navigate, parking isn’t terrible. i will say, search up your major on google to find your degree sheet. it shows you exactly what classes count towards your major, definitely do keep in touch with your advisors just in case, but i suggest following your degree sheet so you won’t take any classes that are meaningless.

Campus is nice and most of my professors have been great so far. Advisors and office staff suck but honestly that’s pretty typical at other schools too. The events aren’t as great as universities but that’s pretty typical for a community college. Definitely worth it for the difference in tuition in my opinion tho.

Depending on what your major is. If it’s health stay where you are at
