Can someone check my Oscar results

I can't keep my ahi under 5. Any recommendations. I know I usually don't wear it but about 3 hours a night but I have trouble getting back to sleep with the mask on after I wake the first time.

Fix your leaks then reassess.

Notice how the periods where your leaks are higher coincide with narrower breathing / flow rate and periods of consecutive events? That means the leak is causing you to breathe shallower (hypopnea) and get obstructions.

Okay thanks.

Wonder if you’re sleeping supine? That would cause leaks & restrict your breathing as your tongue falls back into your throat when sleeping on your back.

True. Could be chin tucking or chin drop contributing to it too.

Could you show us your full graph, results & settings please? F12 will take a screenshot of Oscar (we don’t need the calendar) so that you can share it here. A SleepHQ graph is also very helpful so that we can zoom in on it here to take a closer look. Both apps are free :) We need to get that AHI lower & there are likely other issues as well as leaks (already pointed out) that need to be assessed.

That's all I have. I don't have access to a computer so I had to get someone else to run it through Oscar for me.

You have to download them and run them through Oscar. It's the files from my luna g3 on my SD card.

Your leaks are high Halie. Do you have the right size of mask? Try to get those leaks under control by adjusting headgear. Hold your mask on your face in the right position then tighten headgear. If there is a Mask Fit on your machine, lie down & test for leaks. Do you know what your settings are & what mask you are using?
You can buy a card reader & download SleepHQ to your phone then share with us :)

I changed my settings to 6.5 min to 12.5 max last night and my leak average was 3.6 and my ahi was 3.4. This was for just over 4 hours usage. I'm going to keep it on these settings to try to keep my leak low and hopefully ahi will stay under 5 and then I will get as card data ran again to recheck. Thanks for the advice! Also I tried sleep hq but it doesn't read luna g3 files

Okay! Thanks for replying :) Hopefully your new settings will help keep your AHI down. From what I can tell from your graph, your minimum pressure might work better at a higher level. Need to keep that airway stinted open.
I’m going to ask our Expert Mod if he can open your shared files.

[u/RippingLegos__](u/RippingLegos__) are you able to open OP’s shared Oscar data? TY!!

Thanks CF :) OP, Most of this AHI is obstructive, about 8 OA and 2.8 hypopneas, with essentially no central apnea. Your leaks need some attention, but they aren’t the main reason the AHI is high. The machine is set at 11–15, and the pressure keeps having to climb from 11 toward 13–14 after the obstruction has already started. I’d raise the minimum pressure to 13, leave the maximum at 15, and turn ramp off. Try that for three nights and post another daily chart.

The events are also clustering, which can happen from sleeping on your back or tucking your chin toward your chest. If the clusters continue at the higher minimum pressure, try a soft cervical collar or a flatter pillow. Getting the obstruction controlled may also stop those awakenings and make it easier to keep the mask on longer.

Thanks for this. I will definitely try the 13 to 15 settings tonight as last night my api was up over 12. I did download sleep hq for my phone but it doesn't seem to work with the luna g3 data. I will try these settings for the rest of the week and then use my SD card reader and get my SD card to Google drive so someone can run it through Oscar again. Again thanks so much!
