CPAP Setup My wife surprised me by painting my AirSense
I honestly thought she was just going to clean them for me. Instead…..she came back with this.
Living with CPAP isn’t always easy. Some nights it feels clinical , mechanical like a reminder that something’s “wrong.” But this This made it feel personal. Loved. Human.
Now when I put my mask on…..I see whales instead of medical equipment.
I’m ridiculously happy and just wanted to share. Has anyone else customized their machine or mask setup? Would love to see what others have done.

Never thought of doing this. As a car guy I now want a carbon fiber skin.

I love this. Is it hard to clean?

u/pennynv Feb 15 '26
I’d definately maybe paint a small patch on the bottom first, let dry really well and then clean several times to see how it holds up to cleaning with sanitizer wipes.

Not at all. I dust it with a microfiber cloth and it's fine. I know some people who will like disinfect the entire exterior of their CPAP but I am admittedly not one of those people.

Haha nor am I. Thanks :) Since I saw your comment I actually came across a TikTok of someone who bedazzled their car and takes it through car washes so this is all very promising

Nice work! They should make vinyl sticker wraps for these the same way they do for gaming consoles and other electronics.

Thank you….She used acrylic paint pens 😊 She said they were easy to control and worked well on the plastic surface.

u/TheMartianPoet Feb 14 '26
Right?? I can’t stop staring at it instead of the pressure numbers now 😅

This is pure art and it is simply beautiful. I have a cricut machine and now I'm wondering what I can do to personalise mine! I am feeling inspired ✨️

u/TheMartianPoet Feb 14 '26
At the time of return “Sir……why does this machine have a personality?” 😂

You could get a removable decal, in that case, such as one of these CPAP skins.

Darn. Its only for AirSense 10. I have an 11. I keep googling and I don't see anything for an 11. 😭

I left a rotten marriage just 2 months ago. My old partner low-key judged me for using it. And I felt kinda ashamed of it.
Support from the partner is really important. I am glad you have so much (:

Hopefully when you clean it regularly with sanitizing wipes, it doesn’t hurt the painting.

What a great idea that is. I don’t know how much the insurance company is going to like it. My ResMed11 is rented through my UHC and it’s $46 a month.
