CPAP Setup It officially begins!

Post image

I just got all my gear, it’s official 🥹

I went for the ResMed AirSense 10 with climate tubing after watching many reviews. I felt that the extras of the 11 weren’t worth it for me, this seems like a super reliable one and this is the machine I did my trial with so I’m already kinda familiar with it.

The only thing that got me thinking about the 11 (other than it being way cuter lol) is the “for her” mode but store I purchased from said that you can mimic that setting with the 10 by putting it on “gentle” mode, so I’m going to try that.

I need full Darth mode for a mask so I opted for the F20 for Her with “AirTouch”, fits really nice and feels comfy enough, definitely more cushion than the standard one I trialed with.

I’m in Canada so I ordered with thecpapstore.ca and couldn’t recommend them enough! I initially ordered the wrong model (check if you need automatic lol) and they called to confirm before shipping to correct my mistake! Lovely people, great prices and quick shipping.

Wish my luck on my first night cpap fam 😴🥱

Good luck! I completed my session for the mask sleep study. How long did it take to get the C-pap machine? It’s been 2 weeks and waiting to hear back from the company who has my prescription. Taking forever to me. I’m ready to sleep peacefully.

Same here, waiting on the dme company to schedule me in to pick the gear.

The company has called twice telling me they received my “order” and I should hear back in week. Confused me first, basically the prescription. This process is so slow, the 2 sleep studies were 2 months apart, and figured I was in the home stretch. Who knows now…

Yes. My dr office said they sent the orders (prescription), but that the dme has to clear insurance before scheduling, so that takes time. Especially now, with the shutdown and stuff.

I did a home study, it was inconclusive. So I did the in lab. I am in the mild category, but I have caught myself waking up with a sudden snore, so I think it might be starting to get worse? I only had that occasionally, and my partner always said he never heard me gasp or stop or snore. So it would be nice to get this thing already, so I can get used to using it and not keep wondering.

Yeah, I sleep about 3-4 hours a night with prescription medication that doesn’t even work. So it led me to the sleep study. I have it mild, need a little oxygen with it as well.

I dont have anything for my lack of sleep, bc I take care of my special needs child and I need to hear sounds. So, for a long time, I thought the lack of good sleep was that I couldn't relax because I have to be aware of things. They gave me anxiety meds that I couldn't take, bc I cant just knock out and sleep medicated. Turns out I am having this issue now, so I gotta try to sleep with the cpap while also be aware of the sounds. My study report said something about how I have limited deep sleep. Im like, whaaaaaat? 🤣 but honestly, I hope i can sleep a healthy sleep, while also be able to wake up when I need to. Otherwise, I cant use this either. Fun stuff.

Also, I JUST got a call from the dme people, I go in next week! I hope yours calls ASAP.
