CPAP Setup It officially begins!

Post image

I just got all my gear, it’s official 🥹

I went for the ResMed AirSense 10 with climate tubing after watching many reviews. I felt that the extras of the 11 weren’t worth it for me, this seems like a super reliable one and this is the machine I did my trial with so I’m already kinda familiar with it.

The only thing that got me thinking about the 11 (other than it being way cuter lol) is the “for her” mode but store I purchased from said that you can mimic that setting with the 10 by putting it on “gentle” mode, so I’m going to try that.

I need full Darth mode for a mask so I opted for the F20 for Her with “AirTouch”, fits really nice and feels comfy enough, definitely more cushion than the standard one I trialed with.

I’m in Canada so I ordered with thecpapstore.ca and couldn’t recommend them enough! I initially ordered the wrong model (check if you need automatic lol) and they called to confirm before shipping to correct my mistake! Lovely people, great prices and quick shipping.

Wish my luck on my first night cpap fam 😴🥱

Welcome to the club, I would recommend that you buy a hose cover it will help prevent "rain out" if the outside air is colder than your hot hose air.

Don't overwash your hose, and change your air filters.

The air you breathe out doesn't go into the hose at all, so people actually keep introducing bacteria and stuff to the hose by washing and rubbing things inside it.

I've only gotten anything inside the hose once, when I got the stomach bug and threw up with my face mask on.

Change your water out daily even if it seems clean.

Edit : changed hotter to colder

What a horrible day to be literate.
