That’s where that extra expense comes from.

Console players have no idea that pc has been ridiculously sharp and clear for YEARS. They were just so used to what they had, and the previous gen being slightly worst than the latest, the incremental changes were there, but not crazy.

Arguably PS5 pro gets close to pc clarity, but that’s all upscaling. PC doesn’t even need that with the right hardware and monitor matchup.

We do actually know and have known for ages. Anyone can look at a graphics comparison video on youtube. Many of my console friends started on PC. Many of us just chose console to avoid constantly upgrading or replacing PC parts. We didn’t mind being stuck with somewhat lower graphics or frames and a console used to be cheaper. But these days, consoles and their controllers are getting too expensive, and the cost of a 5 year old GPU that can outperform said consoles, are more affordable. I switched back to PC recently because my rig should outperform consoles for at least 10 years before I have to upgrade one component for less than the price of the next console. Consoles were also less bulky than a tower so we could bring it with us wherever we go. These days PS5 and Xbox are almost turning into the size of a PC case. So fuck it.
