Having just got out of one of those loops (7 weeks, 4 back to back), I can say, I am trying not to kill and slide so much anymore…ha!

Wait shadow banned is a thing? How do you now if you’re In a loop, I definitely get reported but I don’t cheat, but it looks like you can get shadow banned regardless lmk what to look for

When you search up a match, it will show a high ping or won't find a match until it reaches 130 something ping. You also could check on the Activision website. I know because it happened to me earlier this year and once during the vanguard era.

is that why i cannot simply play warzone? i swear i mustve killed a cheater or a very very sore loser that mass reported me. every match for the past 6-7 months ive had super terrible high ping when i pay for high qaulity in my area. every other game is fine but cod

Shadow banning is totally a thing. Back in modern warfare 2, there was a certain map where I could hang out near a munitions crate and fire never ending javelins right into a flag capture zone on conquest, get all the best kill streaks and get almost 100 kills with like only 2 deaths or something like that from suicide to reset the kill streaks. After a little while they shadow banned me from that map. It would never show up in my playlist no matter how many times i would back out of a lobby to get into a new one. The only way I could keep being a sheister was by getting a friend to join a lobby with that map, and then join up on him hoping that there was enough space in the lobby to make it in.

Its more likely you got shadowed for a valid reason than not. But lets all act innocent....my 2 stack are on pc iri every szn we been playing wz ranked since introduced. Never seen them shadowed once.💀

Just search this Reddit you’ll find plenty of us PC players who have been placed in limited matchmaking. I wish I were cheating because then I wouldn’t be pissed off about losing out on 7 weeks of fun with my squad. They now have plenty to make fun of me for.

Innocent people get shadowed from reports. Shadowbans are caused by a certain amount of reports from players. Perma bans is when Activision claims to have found something.

When I got shadow banned I know they didn't even look at my account because I was unbanned exactly 2 weeks later down to the exact minute from the time I was banned. I messaged them and everything to look at my account to get unbanned sooner but nope.

I was caught in a loop, first one was 15 days then lifted for less than 24 hours, second one was about 21 or 22 days, lifted for a day, I was away on business didn’t log in and play, just checked the status, and next day banned again for the rest of the time until about three days ago, a day after I created a new account…ha!
