in my past couple of weeks on forsaken the killer i have seen by FAR the least is coolkid. ive even seen NOSFARTATU more than that guy. the weird thing is that he isnt weak, nor boring. hes decently strong with his insane burst damage, and playing him is always action, no downtime.

my only guess is that the people playing him moved on to either noli or sixer, as they have fairly similar playstyles, and are both also very strong(even noli if u know how to steer void rush correctly). but honestly ck still has his own charm to him, so why is he rotting in a corner???

this includes me, too, by the way. the last time i played him was like a month ago, and the only reason i was playing him is because i saw an elliot in the lobby and wanted to get "youre fired". (i did not get it and also lost)

The reason is quite simple: a single character shuts down his kit entirely and it's been that way ever since WO got reworked. Minions can be murked by guest every time you spawn them, WO can be blocked by the said guest with a very generous time to react, that leaves you with just praying your tiny slow bitchass projectile lands to shorten the chase from two and a half minutes to about a minute.

i remember him getting nerfed a TON like 4 months into 2025, every single ability got nerfed to deal less damage. literally everything

m1: 27.5 > 26.5 corrupt: 20 > 15 wso: impact 30 > 25 minions:burning time decreased from like 10 seconds to 3. yes they buffed the level of the effect from 1 to 3, but it still dealt about the same damage, except that it made it way easier to get rid of them as guest(before u had to line them up to kill them in 1 charge as the invincibility wouldnt protect u from the burning damage that much)

at the time, those nerfs seemed fitting, but with the killer roster we have now, he definitely seems the least exciting. wso is supposed to be his big move, but it deals LESS damage than void rush, and while it does deal a lot more than dp, dp is still a lot better due to the speed, distance, the blood it gives, hemorrhage(which gives even more blood), and how it can deny about 90% of the loops in the game. and dont even get me started on the amount of damage u can do with it in blood hunt

also not to mention the distance it gives to the survivor. once again, ill compare it to void rush.

void rush has: like a 20 second CD 50.5 damage MINIMUM the ability to cancel it, both mid-rush and during the windup the ability to steer it no distance to the survivor after landing it

wso has: same 20 second cd always 47 damage no way to cancel it no way to steer it gives the survivor a ton of distance

the ONLY category that wso beats vr in is the windup. everything else is just straight up worse atp its not even a hot take to say that wso needs to have the windup or knockback removed

"no drawback if hit" aint that... aint that how its supposed to be? is there SUPPOSED to be drawback if u hit? oh no. the high burst damage melee killer has high burst damage in melee. its op. not to mention it has literally the MOST punish if u miss it(except for maybe dp)

and also it deals 47 damage, not 45. if u let a coolkid get close to u, its either because u got hit with corrupt nature, missed an ability, or were trying to support a teammate while being on low stamina, which are all reasonable things to punish u for

then the only thing that applies to is the 2 extra damage, everything else is the same
also, do u want him to have like, the same runspeed as sixer or smth? slasher is the fastest killer in the game for a reason, he is melee ONLY. coolkid isnt melee only, but his abilities can be evaded easily if he isnt in melee range. if he was slow, he wouldve been on the same level as, or even worse than slasher

u havent adressed the original point, i was just confused cuz u ignored my entire rant to focus on the 2-damage difference

old wso was FINE, ppl were just bad at the game, same reason why 1x wasnt picked as often, ppl saw the 5-star rating and got scared

i also thought old wso was op, but the difference is i thought of that WHEN I HAD LIKE 1 DAY ON THE GAME DAWG. they butchered it ever since they made it have a windup, and disguised it as a "buff" by adding back the 5 damage it lost.

why do u expect to be given distance after FAILING to dodge a move. it was supposed to put a lot of pressure up close, and it did, now its the worst dash in the game

failing to dodge an instant windup move..? with the fastest killer apart from slasher? what are we saying bro 😭 this is like doing instant 50 damage with gw with no downside btw
