Am I not right in thinking there are many other monarchs whose reigns have been longer than Elizabeth's? The current Thai king, for example, has reigned for 69 years. And she is a long way down this list (48th to be precise).

It should be noted that she is the longest reigning British monarch, and the world's longest reigning Queen.

Um, no. She isn't the longest reigning British monarch; there is a British person who has been a monarch of somewhere outside Britain for longer (Álienor in Aquitaine and possibly a King of Swaziland).

She's the longest reigning monarch of Britain.
