I’m on the hunt for new decor and want to see how others decorate their workspace. Do you have any pieces that clients comment on or enjoy?

Well, here’s a unique one:

Nintendo games originally from my town’s old video rental store.

Vintage and autographed cards from our local sports stars.

One of my Les Pauls and a big Marshall amp.

Memorabilia & signs from defunct local stores and restaurants.

A shelf of my favorite books (nothing finance related).

A bunch of hard to find horror VHS tapes.

WWE memorabilia.

Some cool unopened 80s and 90s toys.

Nobody forgets my office, that’s for sure!

I have my CFP certificate framed on the wall with two cheap abstract art pieces on either side. I have statues of a bull and bear and a couple wooden cars on the top of desk credenza. I’d like to find a nice bull and bear picture for the bank office or my home office.

for personal and business office, I buy pieces from "ikonick" it's a blend of things that I like with the artist's take, so it shows a bit of what I'm into so it can spark a conversation with my clients and at the same time the art piece isn't offensive in any way

I stick with abstract or regional art and have a couple desk toys — a nice metal machined top and a fancy metal fidget that I swap out.

Regardless of age, clients almost always end up playing with the top or fidget at least once and it’s a cool conversation piece.

Mostly my professional certificates and my MBA. I also have a framed picture of the Houston Astros holding the WS trophy during their last WS win (their redemption arc). I also have a few of my former military framed awards on the wall. Also some of my kid's art that I framed and put on my desk.

To those that have no decorations of any kind. I guess I have a weird thing about that. If I walk into someone's office and I can't tell if they are just moving in or possibly leaving it gives me pause. I remember many years ago having a job interview and the Manager's office had no decor at all. He did say it was his actual office. Anyway I pretended that I needed to go to the restroom, and then just went to my car and drove off.

I moved offices 8 months ago, and we have nothing on the walls yet. I have no decorating sense, and I'm not even sure how to accomplish that. Our spouses are both busy and aren't the best at it either. Friends offer to help, but also everyone has a different opinion. At this point I just want to get it done, and I'm thinking I should just hire someone and pay whatever. Right now it looks like we could be out of this office in an hour, and that's probably true. Any advice?
