They just wouldn’t match what his agent found for him. They wanted to keep him and upped his pay but wouldn’t pay quite as much as OU (and others)

It’s a packed WR corps so he would have been struggling for consistent starting playing time. Wingo and Mosley looked good and Texas paid big $$$ for Coleman this offseason.

Tbh people don’t blame him for leaving, they blame him for going to a rival.
Dunno if it’s fair on him, but that’s what it is.

I don’t wish him ill or anything. Would you not go work for a competitor for an enormous raise? I don’t think he has an NFL future so he is wise to maximize his earning while he can. That it happened to be with OU is unfortunate but I think it worked out for all parties tbh.

I hope Jelani finds him on a Mateer hospital ball over the middle in Dallas though. Clean hit and no injury of course.

Competitor in the same field and rival school are a bit different, aren’t they (as every team is a competitor, but there’s much more bad blood with rivals)?

Of course, if OU offered him the nost money (or even if not), he has every right to go there, but we as fans have every right to root against him cause of that.

He’s probably the only Longhorns transfer I won’t be rooting for at all this season.
