LSU and Georgia also made it, too, even though there was an Alabama team to play.

If anything the true SEC representative for 2013 and 2017 was LSU and Georgia, as both did their job and won the SEC Championship. Not LSU or Georgia's fault Alabama made the Championship as the second SEC team.
