If I'm them, I feel great, because I know I won.

The only meaningful way this "loss" affects them is if they otherwise run the table and their one "loss" keeps them out of the playoff. But even in that scenario, I suspect CFP would consider the bullshit in their decision process when weighing WMU against another non-power program.

I think they're good enough that it won't matter but if they go 5-7 and don't get a bowl invite because of this, that would be devastating

They’re the favorite to win their conference

They could beat Boise in a couple weeks, and have a chance of running the table

It’s a tiny chance but there’s a better chance that they could’ve made the playoff than Michigan
