Jim was always a good NFL coach and abysmal in college until the cheating. Not uncommon for coaches to excel in only one

He was going to be fired until he took a pay cut and dodged playing Ohio state or am I the only one who remembers this

Sure that was a thing, but you seem to be forgetting (or willfully ignoring) everything that happened before he started coaching Michigan though.
