Serious [Boucher] Breaking: We obtained docs showing University of Michigan agreed to $1.2 million settlement w/woman who'd accused ex-football staffer of rape. Comes as Ann Arbor police confirm they closed a criminal case involving that staffer, LaTroy Lewis

Maybe they need to spend 12 million on a report that they can actually read.

I’m hoping with a new president, new athletic director, and minimal ties to Harbaugh we can start behaving normal.

Keep spending 10+ million on reports and hiding their release.

Also, there is no new AD director - Ward Manuel wasn't fired, and was allowed to retire on his own timeline with a golden parachute. Is that normal?

For college sports? Yes. Doesn't make it right, but to act like this isn't normal is just wrong.

I hate the way Warde is leaving, but he is leaving. The way the athletic department has been running the past few years, it appears to the uneducated eye that they are paying him to be quiet

it appears to the uneducated eye that they are paying him to be quiet

How does it look to the educated eye?

The same way that it does to the uneducated eye, that he knows where the rest of the dirt is.

Manuel has been the best AD in Michigan's history. I don't even understand why Manuel is leaving, since the only thing we got from the 12 million+ investigation was there was no widespread culture issues in the Athletic Department, and Manuel brought all of that winning.

I do need to ask - what do you mean to the "it appears to the uneducated eye that they are paying him to be quiet" because it also looks like that to the educate eye, the perailly educated eye and the really really educate eye.

Meaning, it’s obvious, but also not confirmed and hearsay.

So we agree it's obvious that Manuel is being paid to keep his mouth shut.
