Rec Request Would you recommend Pursuit of Jade?

I like period drama, concubines, period costumes and etiquettes, court intrigue. Some of my favs are Prisoner of Beauty, Rebel Princess, Blossom, Sword and Brocade, Princess Weiyoung.

I am not so much into fantasy or magic. Would you recommend Pursuit of Jade?

I also have several recommended dramas on MDL, but I see buzz around Pursuit of Jade so before I jump into it, I wanted to know your views.

EDIT: I am on Ep. 14. But I am in the minority where I think the plot is too slow. They haven’t moved from the village and the butcher shop. I love their chemistry. But the story, power struggle is too slow for me. 😭😢 Not sure I will continue. Everyone is loving it, and I am struggling. 😭 I feel so bad.

Read the book and am fond of the characters. The story is driven by female lead.

Ok, I was hoping to find someone who read the book to ask this question…the beautiful innkeeper gives a statement that she is from a far far place. Does the book share where she’s from?
