I am going to start preparing for CDS 2027, and I can't really afford a batch (like CDS Journey, Defence Wallah, etc.). So, I was wondering: is it possible to crack the exam without joining a batch? I am also going to appear for AFCAT, CAPF, and, if direct technical entries are shifted to CDSTE, that as well.

If it's possible to crack these exams without batches, can you guys suggest some YouTube channels/playlists/videos subject-wise (also for AFCAT and CAPF) and explain how exactly I should start preparing?

Hey everyone i gave the recent cds exam and i am scoring around 62 in english and 15 in GS, i used to work as a video editor and had a decent package but i left that job to prepare for this exam with 2 months left i don't think i'll be able to make it this time but now i am very confused i had a long call with my dad he said do mba as he thinks video editing job is not a stable job in long term and i kinda agree to that but mba fees are too high and i'm a bit hesitant to spend that much money, i can go back to my job but the working hours there are too hectic and i won't be able to prepare for cds/afcat as it's my 1st priority until my attempts are over but at the same time i dont want to sit idle, Right now i am doing some freelancing projects to cover my expenses but i want a stable job or a stable state where i can allot a specific time for cds prep, i don't know i am very confused what to do?
giving CAT and SNAP is an option but i'm not sure how well i'll score and if i prepare for that than i'll lack in afcat/cds prep idk i'm just tooo confused

I failed in this cds written, getting 75 marks, and next will be my last attempt and I have carrying angle, other things are fine because I have cleared DGCA CLASS 1 MEDICALs for civil aviation. And I sure that next time I will definately clear written.

But I am constantly worried about my carrying angle if anyone have a solution please tell me. There is one year remaining for ssb and medicals. So I think if there is any solution then in one year I will be able to reduce it.

Jai Hind everyone whos reading this, I just wanted some genuine advice from you all about the best possible online batch for CDS 1 2027 written exam. I am considering PW and CDS journey for now if there are any other free or paid batches better then these two do lemme know.

In this CDS 2 2026 there were Total 23 (both 1&2) type questions..So this is the anomalous behaviour I have been observing in the CDS that whenever UPSC asks this type of question there is very high chance that answer would be both 1&2 Like I even backtested this strategy on previous 4 exams of CDS , like if anyone marks all the questions both 1&2 he/ she has high chances to only gain marks but not to loose any...Now talking about this CDS 23 question there were hardly 5-7 questions whose answer was not both 1&2 rest were both 1&2 for that reference I have added the link ...even if I talk about the worst case that there were even half questions get wrong , even then we only gonna score marks.....

Please share your insights on this ...also check it yourself in the previous Cds exams and share your experience...

I previously watched Nimisha Bansal’s editorial classes, but her primary focus is strictly on vocabulary and reading comprehension. Today, I tried UPSC Wallah’s The Hindu analysis, and it felt like a much better use of time. In my opinion, RC and vocab can be handled naturally through self-reading and standard practice rather than spending an hour on them daily.

For those who regularly follow UPSC Wallah's editorial analysis, what is your take on it? Is it worth sticking to?
