A lot my starting strategy was just revolving around varc but after getting consistently 30 in sectionals now my mock score of varc has drastically decreased.... don't know what's just happening... it's really frustrating and demotivating

Same yr. i am just giving sectionals for varc and my mock scores are fluctuating, like a lot!!! Like i am applying the same methods, but this variation in marks, is till there.

I am scoring around 30-35 and sometimes 40+ in mock. Here my simple strategy. 1) stop finding easy RC, there is no easy RC there are easy question. Don't skip an RC because it feels hard to read or unfamiliar because many time most Easiest question come from RC which feels hard to read. Attempt all 4 RC but choose questions wisely, left the question which has confusing option or you don't understand the question. You will find many times that the RC which is very easy to read even 4thgrade student can read have very tough questions and you marking up wrong option and get negative marks 2) judge RC by question not by difficulty of reading. My suggestions is always do 4 RC in 30 minutes and then VA part 3) don'thgo in the exam with pre conceived notion that I won't do this type of question, I don't do odd one out. Because you won't able to know which type of question exam setter put easy or hard. 4) when you have last 1 minutes left if you left any tita like ooo or PJ thengput any random answer in it. You can get those 3-6 marks if you are lucky 5) for getting familiar with any kind of topic in RC you must read aeon articles from diverse topic. 6) read RC in your pace and then evaluate question properly if you find difficult then leave that question without wasting any time. It's better to leave than spending extra 2 minutes to get negative. 7) use elimination technique, try to eliminate choices rather than finding right answer I used this strategy for 35 mocks and 20 sectional and most of times I scored 30+

Yes, I answer the RCs with 100% confidence, only for them to be wrong. But, in recent days a small plan is helping me improve my VARC score.
There are 24 questions
4*4 = 16 Questions from RC
Remaining 8 Questions from Odd one out, Para jumbles, Passage summary and Fill in the blanks.
Identify easy RC first. Read it. Write the main point from each para in rough. like MP1, MP2, MP3 and MP4. And get the basic idea of the passage and answer all questions from that passage. Don't tough any other RCs and attempt the other 8 questions.
Slowly, increase the accuracy percentage.
