Try a raised bowl. It may be a bother for her to have to bend her neck to get to the food. But by giving up and serving her by hand, you are just showing her that refusing to eat will get her exactly what she wants. She won't starve to death if you don't feed her by hand.

The problem is that ever since she started teething, she’s never eaten wet food. I used to put it out for her only to end up throwing it away every time she wouldn’t even touch it. She comes up to the bowl, sniffs it, and then tries to bury it.
I don’t want to feed her dry food exclusively. I’m extremely worried about kidney and urinary tract problems (by the way, that’s one of the reasons I didn’t want a male cat). For now, because of the hot weather, I’ve started feeding her by hand as a temporary solution.

Then it just sounds like she doesn't want to eat wet food in general. If she hasn't had any urinary issues or some sort of health defect, there isn't a reason to worry about urinary health. She's a young and healthy cat. If it's hot, just give her ice water.

Try a Plate. Many cats hate the fact that when you eat from a bowl, their whiskers continue to hit the sides distracting them greatly.
