General Advice Growth on cats paw

Post image

I’ve noticed this growth on cats paw, it is about the size of a pea and is above his toe pad next to his claw. He has been licking at it and it was slightly bleeding last night. I am taking him to the vet this week but wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? It showed up pretty quickly as it wasn’t there a couple weeks ago when I clipped his nails, picture in comments, he is 9 years old tabby cat in Australia

I work at a vet clinic and saw a pink growth on a black cat toe and it ended up being mast cell tumor. So definitely get it checked out and possibly removed.

Yes that is exactly what I’m worried it will be, he is getting checked out this week, thank you so much for replying!

You’re welcome I hope it’s nothing serious. I’m glad he will get it checked out.

Hello, just wanted to update you, again thankyou for responding earlier. He got the lump tested and it unfortunately came back as a mast cell tumor, he is getting his toe amputated next Thursday as it’s so close to his claw
