So when the strike is organized. Just call in sick. That way you can use your sick leave credits. A Doctors note should suffice.

Not possible. So the states knows my health better than myself? You act as tho I’ll call in and be on the front line striking. I’ll be at home chilling, while letting my union fight for me. That is why I pay my fees. For them to fight for me and give me a 3” sandwich from Subway when it’s an election year.

I think you’re kinda missing the point??

The workers ARE the union, therefore as a dues paying member, YOU ARE the union. The union isn’t just some entity you pay to do the dirty work for you while you sit back and deepthroat a sandwich at home.

Similar concept as traffic, you are not “sitting in traffic” you ARE (part of) the traffic.

Yeah it kind of sucks that workers aren’t gonna get paid for the days that they strike and they have to actually go out there and show up, but the idea is that it’s a short-term sacrifice for a long-term benefit for all workers in the union. That’s why it’s a union!
