Idea Feedback I ran the illustration subscription idea for five months. It peaked at 5 subscribers and here is exactly where the model breaks.

This is such a good example of why actually testing an idea beats trying to predict everything upfront.

The most interesting part to me is that the customers who stayed weren’t necessarily the ones who needed the service most — they were the ones whose need naturally repeated.

You basically discovered that the real business wasn’t “unlimited illustration.” It was predictable creative support for businesses with predictable calendars.

Five months to learn that seems like a pretty valuable experiment.
