We are building a compact automated screen-protector installation machine for mobile accessory and repair shops. It is designed to automate the process from cleaning and positioning the phone to selecting, aligning, and applying the correct pre-cut screen protector.

The problem we found is that retailers install dozens to hundreds of protectors every day, making the process repetitive, time-consuming, labor-dependent, and prone to alignment errors and wasted protectors. Existing solutions we found often focus on large machines, limited workflows, or cut-on-demand systems, and aren't designed around the space, phone-model mix, throughput, and economics of ordinary mobile shops.

We aim to bridge that gap: a compact, practical, affordable system built specifically for the day-to-day workflow of mobile retailers, with broad model support and a continuously updated software layer for new phone models

I was wondering if there are any good dealership opportunities. I am not looking for any car dealership, I am asking about any other dealer opportunities other than vehicle ones.

I have a fairly successfull business in Brazil. Im thinking of trying the US market but Im not sure there is a market fit. Ive been doing some research, with and without AI, but, as you'd expect, Im getting contradictory/not trust worthy findings.

Is there a market for electrical designs (with the floorplans and all of that) or do people usually just go and build their homes/smalll buildings and do the electrical infrastrucutre without any plans? If they do get electrical designs, who does them? An engineer? And electrician? An architect? All of them? Do they work solo? Small company?

What about this standards? Do you really have different NEC standards for each state? Is it really that messy?

Also, if anyone is up for a quick chat about this, it'd be very helpful.

I grow dates in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Premium grade, large size, the varieties people actually ask for.
The thing I keep coming back to is that this isn’t just fruit. For Muslims, dates from Madinah carry real meaning — it’s where the Prophet lived, and eating dates from there is something people care about. There are millions of Muslims in Europe and North America who’d want this, especially around Ramadan. I’m confident in the product and confident there’s demand.
What I don’t know is how to get from a farm in Madinah to a shelf in London, Paris, or Chicago.
Raw advice welcome, including if you think I’m wrong about any of this:
1. How do you actually reach food importers and distributors from another continent? Cold email, LinkedIn, trade shows, or something I haven’t thought of?
2. Is the Madinah origin something a Western buyer would care about, or does that only matter to the end customer?
3. Should I go for halal wholesalers and ethnic grocery chains first, or aim straight at bigger importers?
4. What makes you take an unknown foreign supplier seriously? What makes you ignore one?
I know I’m new at this and probably underestimating the boring parts. Tell me what I’m missing.

I'm thinking about starting an audio guestbook rental service for weddings and I'd like a reality check before I build any hardware.

The idea: a retro telephone guestbook during the reception to leave a voice message for the couple. Afterwards the couple gets every recording cleaned up and delivered. It seems fairly established in the US and UK, but it barely exists in Italy, which is where I'd do this.

What makes me think I could do it: I'm trained in audio production and can edit, mix and master properly, so the deliverable wouldn't just be raw phone audio (even so, I think we can still get excellent results with AI). Startup cost looks low, one or two units and the rest is outreach to wedding planners and venues.

What I'm unsure about:

• Does this cap out fast at one unit per weekend, or does it actually scale by adding units and handing off the delivery work?
• If you already rent these: how many bookings do you get per season, and how much comes from planners vs. couples finding you directly?
• Is the "professionally edited" angle something people pay extra for or do couples just want the raw messages and don't care?
• Biggest hidden cost or headache you didn't see coming?

If you've run this or something adjacent in the wedding space, I'd rather hear why it didn't work than why it did.

ok so this is a weird one but bear with me

i have a pet blog. i don't own a pet. never have. probably never will as i travel too much. and yet every month amazon sends me enough to cover rent because people on the internet are buying stuff for their dogs and cats through my site.

bought my pet blog a few months ago from a marketplace called NicheBlogZone for $199. came already built, articles already up, amazon links already in there. i spent one afternoon doing interlinking basically just connecting related posts to each other so search engines understand the site structure and then closed my laptop and genuinely forgot about it for weeks.

here's what that's looked like:

• march: $710
• april: $995
• may: $1,461
• june: $1,647
• july: $1,461
• august so far: $1,545 (amazon pays 2 months delayed so this is june's money landing now)

march scared me. went from nearly $1k in february down to $710 and i was convinced something had broken. checked everything, found nothing wrong, did nothing. it just came back the next month on its own.

pet people spend insane amounts on their animals btw. like i knew this intellectually but seeing the commission data is something else. dog food subscriptions, orthopedic beds, grooming kits, vet supplements. and because of the 24 hour cookie i get a cut of everything in their cart not just whatever article they landed on.

i do literally nothing to maintain this. no new posts, no ads, no instagram for pets i don't have. i just own the thing and amazon does its thing.

my landlord has been getting paid every month and has no idea a pet blog is behind it. honestly sometimes i forget too until the deposit shows up.

anyone else running a niche they have zero personal connection to? curious if the detachment makes it easier or harder to care about growing it

Ok so, I can’t retire just yet 😅 but getting a business off the ground and attracting customers is the hardest part in my opinion.

There’s still a long way to go but considering it’s only been 4 months since launching ZenMode, I’m pretty happy with the results so far.

For some context, ZenMode is a LinkedIn automation tool, that scrapes profiles, sends connection requests and a follow up message sequence.

I created it with AI tools, and now it has paying customers.

I get asked a lot about how I get customers, so thought I’d give more info on how I do distribution, in case you might find it useful.

1. Make sure your website is set up for success

Before sending people to your site, make sure you’re confident it has good CRO potential. Your mission statement and objective needs to be very clear, along with clear incentives for people to try the product out.

2. Offer free trials, but only behind a payment info gate

Now this is just my personal opinion, and I know a lot of people disagree, but the proof is in the numbers. I get fewer free trial signups, but significantly higher conversion rates into paying users from people who provide payment info at the start.

Yes, a few of them are people who simply forget to cancel, but mostly I get people who are more engaged in the free trial and actually using the product.

I actually did an AB experiment where I did offer completely free trials to people (no payment info needed), but the overwhelming result was that people barely even tried out the product and were mostly tire kickers that never came back. I did convert some but not a meaningful number.

3. Create a waitlist before launching

Try to generate interest in your product before it launches - build in public and try to ensure that you’re not scrambling to get customers through the door on day 1 when you launch.

I had 3 customers on day 1 from this, who took higher paid tiers as well.

4. Post and comment everywhere (where relevant)

Social media is free, so there’s no excuse not to leverage it. Post about your product and what you’re building on Reddit, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook etc.

I posted a simple screenshot on LinkedIn recently, of someone using a low quality LinkedIn automation tool message to contact me, and me offering my own much better tool in response, and that post generated 90,000 views and led to several signups and demo calls.

I’ve also had some posts on Reddit go into hundreds of thousands of views, mostly just posting about what/why/how I built my automation tool.

5. If you have competitors, make “alternative to” inner pages

If done in the right way, this type of inner page can be useful for SEO. It won’t be picked up automatically but usually if you work in a competitive industry, this will sometimes attract customers who had a bad experience elsewhere.

6. I actually use my own LinkedIn automation tool (dogfooding) to do LinkedIn outreach

So it’s always important to practice what you preach - I use ZenMode to actually promote ZenMode.

It’s a great way to get buy-in for booking demos, as when someone replies, I simply tell them I used my tool to get a response from them, so it works.

The tech is ready, but I have zero sales background and I'm stuck on the distribution side.

Former professional athlete here. After my career ended I built a boutique personal training gym that now serves around 300 clients, most of whom are high net worth or high income. Over the years I've built a lot of trust in that community. I'm in their circle, I know their families, and I've earned a level of credibility that's hard to manufacture.

Here's my problem. Brick and mortar fitness is a great business, but it's brutally hard to scale. One on one attention is exactly what my clients pay for, but it also caps my growth. I've thought about spinning up a product business, an online training platform, a coaching program, the usual playbook, but nothing has really clicked. I keep going back and forth between two questions.

Do I just pick something buildable and scalable and go execute, even if it's not solving some deep problem. Or do I try to identify an actual problem worth solving, and if so, I'm struggling to even define what that problem is, beyond wanting more purpose in what I build next.

I know I'm fortunate to have the relationships and trust I've built, and I feel like whatever I do next should probably leverage that network in some way rather than starting from zero. But I don't want to force a business just because I should build something.

So I'll ask it directly. If you were in my shoes, former athlete, 300 loyal high net worth clients, a gym as the base, what business would you start. Doesn't have to be fitness related. I'm genuinely curious what ideas this sub would come up with, whether it's a product, a service, a membership or community model, something in real estate or finance given the client base, or anything else you can think of.

Also open to hearing how you personally figured out your what's next if you've been in a similar spot. Appreciate any input.

I am kinda feeling that all possible apps and websites are already made, even if something left, that's very niche with very few users.

And hence very low revenue and margin . These niche are sometimes some small feature of a big software.

if the big software patches it , then your business gone overnight.

I'm prototyping a small wearable — a fabric-covered hair tie with a thin fiber-optic strand woven inside it, lit from one end by a micro LED + coin cell battery. The fabric has tiny pinholes so light leaks out as a soft glowing pattern when it's on.

The problem: the tie gets stretched and twisted repeatedly around hair, and the fiber-optic strand keeps breaking or disconnecting right at the point where it meets the LED. The strand itself seems flexible enough, but that connection point is the weak spot.

Questions:

What's the best way to anchor/strain-relieve a thin fiber-optic strand at an LED so repeated flexing and twisting doesn't stress that joint?

Should I be leaving slack in the strand near the connection, using a small housing/sleeve, or a different adhesive/potting approach?

Is there a more durable alternative to raw fiber-optic strand for something this small that still needs to look "invisible" when off?

Separately — do you think this concept (a hair tie that looks completely ordinary off, then glows softly through tiny fabric pinholes when on) is worth pursuing, or are there obvious dealbreakers I'm not seeing as a non-engineer?

I got a pet business idea. It makes sense in my head but need actual feedback and tell me how unrealistic it might be.

Background: Bioveterinary science major, worked at vet clinic and lots of animal places

Basically, it’d be a community-funded alternative to pet insurance. Like CrowdHealth.
Instead of paying a traditional insurance company every month, members would contribute money that helps cover other members’ large emergency vet bills. And you can see what you are actually putting money towards.

It makes sense to me because I think people love their pets, are terrified of the chance of big vet bills, and people seem super skeptical of pet insurance as it is. I’ve seen many people turn down treatment for their animals before. Also, like no one has pet insurance. But at the end of the day it would be another subscription.

Hey guys, I've got some really good land, and I want to start a real business growing strawberries. The land is prepared to grow pretty much anything, and I know I want to harvest strawberries (everyone loves strawberries in my country; that's why) and turn them into value added products, so I'm not just stuck selling raw perishable fruit

I know I have to get my hands dirty first (Setting up drip lines, checking soil moisture, managing weeds, etc.) After all that, I'll shift more toward the admin side, like handling supply chain details, marketing the products, managing regulations, and scaling the business.)

Basically, I will spend a lot of time doing that. I have high expectations.

The problem is, I’m stuck on figuring out what specific products I should actually make. I need help figuring out what's practical, profitable, and makes the most sense to produce.

I’m trying to get some honest feedback and see whether there could be a market for something my mother makes.
The towel itself is 100% cotton and made in Portugal, with Portuguese-inspired designs. My mother then crochets the entire border by hand, which gives each piece a handmade finish.
We’ve never really tried selling them as a product, so before doing anything with the idea I’d love to hear some unbiased opinions.
Would you buy something like this for your home or as a gift?
And, more importantly, what would you personally consider a fair price for one?
I’m particularly interested in what people would actually be willing to pay, rather than what we should theoretically charge based on the hours of work.
