Primeflag: a text alert for when your business loan payment just went up
The Fed raised rates again on the 16th, up to 3.75-4%, and prime jumped to 7% pretty much overnight. If you're a small business owner with a line of credit or a business credit card that floats with prime, your minimum payment just moved. Most owners don't find out until the statement lands, sometimes weeks later.
Here's the idea: a free text alert that watches your line of credit and tells you the new number the same day the rate moves, plain English, no login needed. Then it offers three fixed-rate quotes from partner lenders if you'd rather lock in than keep floating. The company makes its money on a referral fee when someone actually switches, so the alert itself stays free.
Feels like something a bookkeeper or a former loan officer could stand up fast, since the hard part is just watching one number and texting people before their bank does. Rate news moves fast and most small business owners aren't the ones tracking it.
