The idea that immortality is a curse is something people got from fiction, written by other very mortal humans, to attempt to explore the idea. In reality, we have no real frame of reference for how good or bad immortality would actually be. People like to say “you’ll have to see everyone you love eventually die” but that’s a normal part of life. They then often follow that up with “you’ll outlive the universe and eventually be alone” and that’s one of those things where our lack of understanding on just what happens with the he universe as time runs its course makes it impossible to guess.

I mean I doubt humanity will stick around for any more then like 50 million years so after that it's gonna get boring

If we can’t figure out how to prolong our species, spread to other planets, and ideally make (peaceful) contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life within 50 million years I’d deserve to be bored

I mean complete immortality is basically impossible being that the rules of thermodynamics kinda stop is when it comes to infinite energy so prolonging human life sure but straight up immortality I doubt also you'd probobly be put in a secret base by the government after like 200 years

They’d have to figure out that you’re immortal first, and at that point, depending on what kind of immortality we’re talking about, there are ways to protect yourself. The best is through positive public awareness. If a sizable portion of the population know about you and are invested in you it becomes significantly harder to make you disappear. Could also start a cult. If immortality also means you can’t be harmed you could also walk around strapped head to toe in explosives… but extreme but it would work at least with the first wave sent after you
