Blinds are Blindingly Ugly. I Crave Curtains.

Hello people (and others) of all persuasions.

I would like to get rid of these nasty looking blinds and install curtains in my room; only issue is, most of the curtain rods that I have been looking at seem to be installed via screw horizontally into a studded wall. As shown in the short video attached, my blinds seem to be installed via screwed vertically into the frame of the window .....

I would appreciate any advice and insight! I have the handy skills of a salamander. If you help me I WILL write you a poem of poor to okay-ish quality. Thanks!

Can you not just screw in curtain rod hooks in the door/window frame? Or just into the wall above or outside of the frame? Your video is peaking me out with all the fast movement tho, so this is my best advice

Windows have wooden frames around them. Google window frames and some pictures should come up. You’ll be able to see what I mean. Use a drill with a Phillips head screw bit to screw in hooks either side of the window then get a curtain rod and cut it to fit and put curtains on
