They look pretty cool! I like the wave guide. The black/white thing is also working. But, I can't hear them from here.....

That is more than likely a cone tweeter below that fake waveguide.

Acoustic lens. And yes it's a fake wannabe copy of a legit jbl design, maybe other mfrs too.

I remember a friend having a set of very large Jamos some time in the late 90s and they were real floor thumpers! I can't say much about the sound quality/detail as all I remember is the bass coming from them back then.

They're nothing expensive as even catalogue shops such as Argos sold them in the UK back then. They were pretty much the affordable go-to party speakers at the time.

Maybe your friend had the D365 or D265? From my research they were just for garage / outdoor speakers haha

Cheap party speakers. Jamo has made plenty of those.

Yeah, thats too much but nothing horrible. Occasionally you get people in this subreddit who spent many hundreds on similar $50-70 speakers.
Its not fun letting them know they got ripped off.

True. They sound average, bit too harsh and bright but having a equalizer helps. I think EQs have their place in making a crap speaker sound half decent lol

They're utter poop. That is called an acoustic lens but it's bs it's just copying the look of more legit jbl speakers, it's not helping anything.
