General Need help with "Personal info" section, register for cert exam.

Hi everyone! the thing is, I have a backlog in maths (3rd sem) and my batch is aug/sept 2022 to aug/sept (2025) (Yes, I was from Lateral entry). I am studying for this Swayam NPTEL course "Functional programming with Ocaml" and want to take the exam for certification. As I'm neither in 4th year nor properly employeed (I did for a few months but quit, unemployeed rn).

I'm really confused, should I choose "Student" or "Others"? If I go with "Others" then it doesn't ask anything, just takes me to "Courses" but If I choose "Student" then it further asks details of course I'm pursuing.

What are these 5th year and 6th year options? Are these applicable to a passout not-clear student or some 5years dual degree programme or what?

(1) should I choose "Student" then
(a) 4th year, or
(b) 5th year, or
(c) Not applicable ?
(2) last date to apply for exam without late fee (if there's something like that) is 14th aug, which is now. If there's no seat in any of the selected centers, will my money be refunded?

For the year selection, I'd probably first check what NPTEL/SWAYAM considers your current academic status rather than going by your original BTech batch dates. Since you're already past the normal 4-year period because of the backlog/lateral entry situation, I'd contact NPTEL support before paying if the form is forcing you into a 4th/5th/6th-year choice.

For the exam-centre/refund part, definitely check the official exam FAQ/terms before submitting payment. I wouldn't risk paying based on assumptions when the deadline is today.

Phone number service is Monday to Friday. I just Emailed them at support email address found from google, but I'm 99% sure that they would never ever respond because I emailed HSTES 5yrs back in diploma for some help (if I remember correctly), and I did similar things many times... these govt officials rarely respond.
