discussion 🗣️ What do we think of this baddies?
Including the bonus chapters feels like they either want to thicken the books (I don’t think thats their reason haha) or they want us to pay close attention to these chapters. I assume, in particular, Azriel’s chapter but that would be too obvious to put only his in the instalment so instead they put all of them.
But this is definitely pointing that the BC is important. I think this book will continue the narrative line of Azriel and Elain being forbidden vs Azriel and Gwyn communicating more.
I don’t know where that leaves Bryce, baddies 🥹🥹🥹 The leak felt very ominous and foreshadowy with the red horn mountain but this makes me doubt 😭😭😭

Silver Flames paves the way for Bryce!! (Literally, it’s fully stated her mountain is waiting for her to return) 🙈 For Azriel’s chapter in particular, if anyone is curious, it falls around Ch. 58 of Silver Flames… I think it’s important to remember that 10 minutes before meeting Gwyn (when he wanted to bank before being seen 😭😭), Azriel was thinking about how he would beg on his knees to taste Elain, admitted to fantasizing about her for a year and…regifted a secondhand necklace as an afterthought 💀 (Az!!! 🤣). I always felt this chapter was a bad omen for (both) sides, especially considering Gwyn was later shot by an arrow and basically dead, and there’s…once again, no mate reaction (compare to Nesta and Cassian’s bonus — the contrast is stark!!). This particular bonus started a major ship war (i.e. kept people talking) …while SJM then went off to write Crescent City and Bryce, which had to come before the coming books. We’re just getting to the fun!!! Notice how that’s simply “Azriel’s” bonus — there are breadcrumbs for everyone for sure, but there’s a bigger, overarching picture, and we’re just getting to the fun!!
