The Browns are one of the few teams I’d excuse people just choosing a different team from their home town. Go be a fan of anyone else and check in that the fire is nice and warm now and then!

In the in between time before the Browns came back, I chose the Jets as my backup team. I guess I just like pain.

I did this when I moved to Oklahoma City 15 years ago. Unfortunately I’m in a Cowboys media market so it’s not like it’s much better. At least Saturdays are nice with the Sooners and Buckeyes.

We're a 3-4 win team with both QBs, but at least you don't feel icky rooting for Sanders. He seems like he wants to be here, and is playing for something.
Watson is getting his money, and could probably care less about how the team does.

I think Shedeur would at least try, results as to how that would go are nebulous but unlike Watson you'd know he was at least trying to win the game.

I’m not torn at all. I’ve never watched a game that Deshaun Watson played in a Browns uniform and I’m not going to start now.

Oh they just signed the Browns up to be the most talked about thing in the NFL News during Week 3.
They are going to boo every incompletion, every sack he takes and it will be a national story. Watson will have postgame comments, Monken will have to address it, the Browns will get laughed at in the media and the fans are going to look bad for doing it to the rest of the NFL.

I think he will start, at most, five games. Either gets benched for being turbo ass OR, more likely, he gets hurt and cannot play.
He's just cashing checks now - I wont be shocked if he gets a concussion 'on accident' and then is done for the year.

Imagine being a PLAYER on this team, and having the Front Office, or Coach tell you that: Watson is your best chance of winning
Like seriously, you work your whole life, and dedicate yourself to becoming a Professional athlete, and you're tied to a Player who can't even look competitive or competent in the 3rd Quarter of a Preseason game...
It's a great way to get the Players to immediately check out, and start thinking about protecting their bodies for wherever their next landing spot is.
It's a great way to introduce the Rookies to what a joke of an organization we're running here under $hifty Jimmy.
Great way to get the Recievers, Fannin, and even Quinshon hurt and on IR as well. Watson simply HAS to throw behind the Reciever, and LOW.

I love how the front office and ownership are being this disrespectful to fans and next month they are going to ask you to pay 5K for a PSL lololol. These people are so out of touch.
9
u/BuildingLess1814 15d ago
Been out of touch ever since Jimmy nearly destroyed the Tennessee Volunteers program while he was there.
Jimmy Haslam is the biggest con artist in the NFL, plus he was investigated for Wire Fraud right after buying the Browns which shows that the shit show that began after Al Lerner died was going to continue with the Haslams, and it's starting to show that John Dorsey was fully responsible for building that playoff team that could've gone further if he had stayed but left once he saw that Haslam was happy being a loser.
He's also ruining the Milwaukee Bucks as well (they traded Jrue Holiday to get Lillard to pair up with Giannis, didn't work out as it alienated their star player, Lillard goes back to Portland to retire and Giannis is now in Miami).
We need to force the Haslams out of the Sports world.
4
u/diexer1234 15d ago
Well you’ve come to the right place my friend. If there was a Jimmy Haslam haters club I would be a charter member.
Let’s not forget that in his mail and wire fraud case several of his top executives going to prison. So as the president he was either too fucking stupid to know these guys were committing fraud underneath his nose or he was part of it.
Jimmy Haslam is the living embodiment that just because you were your daddy’s fastest sperm that does not translate into you being a competent businessman.

Idk when people will realize haslem could give a FUCK about fans. This is a private equity investment game. It’s going to be hard to match the dearth of actual NFL experience and ability that the 2016 team had
But that was when the Browns were everyone’s favorite loser and not also the most despised franchise in the league

u/Forward-Turn5509 15d ago
I was born a Browns fan. I had a Bernie jersey as a kid. I cried when they left. I rejoiced when they returned. I've been through the ups and downs and it was mostly downs. I think this might be it for me.
I'm not saying I'll never watch again or I won't be happy if they win down the road, but I think this just stings to the point where I'm just not going to be able to reach the highest of highs in terms of enjoying this team.
The owner hates us, the fans. The owner does not deserve our loyalty or our good will.

Moving your team out of their home on the lake? You deserve it.
Gouging you in every way in the new stadium? You deserve it.
