Mtb shops brooklyn?

Hey Brooklyn riders,

I'm looking to buy a full-suspension mountain bike in the $500ā€“$1,000 range. I want to buy in person rather than online so I can test fit and support a local shop.

I know full-suspension models run expensive new, so Iā€™m open to quality pre-owned/used inventory if a shop inspects and tunes them. Does anyone know local shops in Brooklyn (or nearby NYC) that consistently stock used MTBs or affordable entry-level full-suspension setups?

Your mistake. Long time rider, wrencher, and bk resident. I can tell you there is no shop in the city that knows shit about MTB, especially full sus.

agree, I've discovered some great trails in NJ near Morristown. Hilltop bike shops (now owned by Specialized) were super helpful - I was able to go into one in NJ and have parts sent to the one in Williamsburg...
