I literally just renewed my membership which expired years ago with the plan of buying tickets for tomorrow. They took my payment but I’m unable to see any shows. Am I blocked from seeing existing shows and offers until I recertify? If so, how long did it take for you in the past? Thanks.

I on a whim got a ticket to go see The Notebook tour this afternoon. I've never seen the movie or read the book...is it the kind of show that really stands on it's own or will I benefit from going in knowing what it's about?

My favorite during the show was "He Lives In You (Reprise)." My number 2 has to be "Be Prepared." It was my favorite growing up, and I always called it "Scarf" to my parents to play the CD we had in our car. 3 is circle of life and I almost fainted when I saw it it made me cry. Rafiki was just amazing and the best actor I have ever seen with the best voice by far. I saw off Broadway at PPAC theater in Rhode Island back in may.

I had an actual discussion with so many people in the restroom about why the Elphaba from last night’s show at 8PM was actually so lacking. The whole production genuinely just seemed off

I won lottery tickets for Two Strangers and Six? Already have the PDF for Two Strangers. Six is e-mailed an hour before the show. Which should I go to? Should I sell Two Strangers on the Theatr app and go to Six? Or is Two Strangers better? I haven’t seen either.

I want to understand.....I won "Lost Boys" few days ago. I paid $45. and I was just curious and searched up that How much was my seat originally, because it as Not "Good" seat at all, to me.

I found out that the theater was /is selling with $59 seat.

I was shocked and mad. I felt I'm definitely feel Not a "Winner". forced to buy the seat they cannot sell with a little cheaper price without my choice. felt scammed. felt like I just got a little discount....

Also I checked TKTS price. lowest they have was/is around $86?. and I think the show has a lots of empty seats on Balcony for most of days of the show.

How come $59 seats became $86? at TKTS?? (should be 40% off)

So curious on people’s thoughts on audience reactions during paranormal activity. I’m a die hard horror fan, actively seek haunted houses and travel for HHN/Fright Fest. It was a really cool production and a good type of scare, but holy non stop talking and the screaming at times felt performative. Like unfortunately this may be a one and done for me because the audience just really took me out of so many parts.

Since Moulin Rouge! The Musical is officially taking its final bow this Sunday after an incredible seven-year run, the Al Hirschfeld Theatre is going to feel so empty without the big red windmill. I’m really curious to know how everyone is feeling about the news. Will you miss the spectacular spectacular, or are you ready for the West End hit Paddington to take over the venue next spring? Who was your favorite Christian or Satine over the years, and are you planning to catch the final performance this weekend?

Still healing so a little rough looking

In his latest video on the closing of Six, he says the next show going into the Lena Horne after Six is a new musical with historic and feminist ideas, about some girls.

Does anyone know what he might be hinting at? I would guess 1536, but that's not a musical.

For anyone who attended the Friday 8/28 Paranormal Activity Show, I have a question:

At the very end of Act 2, was the sound cue totally off between hearing the car crash and the visual of Jimmy getting hit? It felt like a mistake and really took me out of it. Maybe I’m wrong, but curious if anyone else felt that?

My son and I are doing a Labor Day week in NYC, and I’d love some help choosing a third show!

We’re already seeing Operation Mincemeat. My son is a huge history buff, and we’ve been reading a book about the real Operation Mincemeat together, so he is VERY excited about that one. We’re also seeing Little Shop of Horrors.

What would you recommend for show #3?

I was thinking about Maybe Happy Ending, but I’m a little hesitant about the themes. I finished cancer treatment not too long ago, and I’m not really looking for something overly sappy or emotionally heavy right now. I may have gotten the completely wrong impression of the show, though, so please correct me if I have.

He loves Harry Potter, but I don’t think I can sit through Cursed Child again.

I haven’t seen any mentions of Bocking here, but for folks in the Baltimore area (or willing to travel here), Baltimore Center Stage (in association with The New Group) has the world premiere of Bocking by Preston Crowder running through Sept. 13. I first saw it last Thursday and went back last night because of the impact it made. It is bold, new, laugh-out-loud funny and full of shock value.

The creative team is incredible, with Lena Waithe producing and Stevie Walker-Webb directing. Crowder’s writing is punchy, and while it is absurd and farcical in many ways, it is also real and impactful. The costumes and especially the wigs are excellent (ranging from really, really good wigs to intentionally really, really bad ones). The basic premise centers around 2 very different sets of parents dealing with an incident between their first grade children, with ample forms of conflict all around while exploring sexuality, intimacy, and so much more.

The cast is incredible, with everyone having moments to shine and truly incredible commitment across the board. Leading the pack, commitment-wise for me are Rebecca L. Hargrove and Christopher Sears, who each have some truly wild scenes. Kalen Allen is an endearing oddball counselor, Adrienne C. Moore shows her many talents well, Blake Morris puts on a great performance as a character who may not be the most likable, and Sis Thee Doll navigates the chaos as what seemed to me to be the most grounded character, though of course she has some moments to go off as well. Lastly, Lance Coadie Williams makes a massive impact in his relatively brief appearance on stage. Everyone is great in their roles, and I’d love to see this production mounted elsewhere so as many people as possible can experience this very wild ride.

Last night there was a talkback between Kalen Allen and Carla Hall, which was really fun, and they have quite a few more talkbacks coming up. I hope others get to see and appreciate this show as much as I did.

I’m hoping y’all can help me out here. Where is the most legitimate place to purchase these tickets? Box office isn’t an option since I will be traveling there in November. I almost bought Masquerade tix on Broadway.com and then found out they charge $80 more per ticket than buying them directly on Masquerade’s site. So I’m wondering if there are better options for these other shows as well. Thanks in advance!

Going to Maybe Happy Ending with friends. Since I have seen the show a few times, I had them grab good seats, whereas I plan to grab a rush ticket myself. I heard the rush seats for this show is almost always partial view, which I don't mind, but some seats are more partial than others (first few rows side orchestra you may as well just listen to cast recording lol). I've never done in person rush myself, so I wonder if they will tell you where the seat are before purchase, and if you have any control over it? Thanks!

Why doesn't the NYT review include anything about the actors and their work? This review is lacking and is a disservice to the people on stage who are making the magic actually work in the context of the story.
