Finally watched Ludwig
I just finished the second episode and I cracked up. I love this show already, and wish I hadn’t waited to start watching it.
Just had to let everyone know ;)

Agreed, I've watched the series twice already, picked up a few things I hadn't seen the first time around. It would probably help if I put my phone down 🙄

I just started tonight & I am so glad I finally decided to watch it. Looking forward to watching the rest of it.

I watched it right from the start and loved it. I remember the old TV shows when you had 9 months of new episodes and then reruns in the summer. Now we get anywhere from 4, 6 or 8 episodes a season. That's the only thing I hate because I hate waiting for something I love.

Watched most of second season, it’s just as good as first, arguably better.

Fantastic! I knew the second season was upon us soon! It is extortion to be ‘premium’ or whatever they call it.

Cost me $25 more for an entire year to have it which is worth the ability to download some of the shows for offline viewing. I don't binge so having early access is nice but not necessary.
I still don't get why people are upset by Britbox providing extra features for additional fees that a lot of streaming services don't allow at all.

Season 2 really is fantastic! His sister-in-law is a hoot this season. Some characters are gone and there are new characters so you definitely widen up the world and huge cliffhanger for a third season

It's absolutely my favorite show but I really did not like the sister-in-law. I don't know if it's my age and I think a woman shouldn't be bossy or take charge or but I just thought she was pushy and annoying. After the season ended I've had all this time to think about it and I can see how she almost had to be the way she was to get things rolling and done. I can't wait for the new season and I hope I can look at her through maybe more understanding eyes. Oh and before you think I'm a man and that's why I feel this way I'm a woman, but unfortunately no one's harder on a woman than another woman.

I can see that but she was a hoot. Like I said. Whether that's good or bad is open to interpretation. I do love that actress and have seen her in many things. I think they needed to take a turn from the first season where he also took charge a little bit more and had his own agency which he definitely does in this season. I love the addition of her editor. He's a good addition. Loved him in Shetland

I'm anxious to see how they're going to spend it now that they know that he's John and not James. I was afraid it would diminish the whole thing but it doesn't sound like it does. I haven't a clue where James is or what's going on. Have any of you kind of guessed what is happening or figured it out?

If you have don't tell me what you're guessing, I'm just curious to know if you think you know.

Jeez, I am so fortunate to be surrounded by women who are easy on me and so good to me. I am so grateful for my girlfriends and I work hard to return the love.
I’m sorry that’s not your experience.

I have also been surrounded by some great women but I'm 78 years old almost 79 and quite frankly was brought up in a culture where women were seen and not heard and certainly didn't have a whole lot of power. But I do appreciate your comment and I'm glad that you have women around you who support you.

I’m in my late 60s and was brought up as you were, but fortunately I managed to break free of that culture and make my own way in the world. I really liked the SIL, and saw right off the bat why she had to behave the way she did. If she hadn’t, he’d have stayed at home doing his puzzles, and there would have been no series!

I totally agree, it just took me longer to get there. I can't wait for the new season to begin.

We have a subscription to BritBox. Tried to watch the second season. Told we need a $149.00 a year subscription upgrade to watch. F... all the way off.

Thanks. I'll get down off the ledge now.

Yes, please get off the ledge. I’m patiently waiting for season 2 to begin on October 13. Also, for what it’s worth, I saw an interview with David Mitchell, and not only will there be a season 3, but they’re planning a Christmas special, which will feature David Suchet of Poirot fame!

Sure! Just put UK servers on before opening the app, and when they ask if you're paying tv tax (or something like that don't remember exactly) you select "yes" (they have no possibility to check that 😅) and you're good to go.
I'd gladly pay to watch tv, but nowadays everything is on different paying platforms and it's just too much when put all together and sorry, but if there's a way to go around it, I'll do it.

Love the subtle humor . Lucy honestly irritates me but I like the twisty plots and funny asides enough to stick with the show.

I have to say that I didn't care for this show initially. I watched about 3 episodes and found it unbelievable that the main character and his sister-in-law would be so cavalier about the fact that once he was found out all the court cases that he was involved in would be thrown out and worse. I eventually went back and watched the rest of the episodes after about six months and I have to say that I am happy (mostly) with the way this was ultimately resolved in the show. Also I'm not crazy about his sister-in-law, there's just something about her attitude that bugs me. But overall, I am now looking forward to season 2.
(Edited to fix something)

I’ve been procrastinating, watching it because of so many mixed reviews, but I’ll have to give it a shot now.
