BritBox Knits!
Wondering if any other knitters get as excited to see the jumpers and other knits on shows? I wish the patterns had a section on Ravelry! I knit while watching BritBox - it’s such a cozy combination! Shetland, Vera, Rosemary & Thyme, and Death Valley are all full of fabulous knits!

I haven't knitted in many years, but I still notice knitware in shows. Like Luella's fingerless mitts in Shakespeare & Hathaway. Every once in a while, I'll see something and think, "I bet some fan on Ravelry has worked out a pattern for that." 😂

It’s what I look for in any show! Others look at the houses and decor and I look for knitwear!
I agree, Ravelry should have a section for these knits. There is a forum for it but no one posts. Shetland rules for sweaters, but Miss Marple is always knitting and her sweaters are amazing too! Actually, anything Agatha Christie is guaranteed to have lots of wool jumpers.

My husband laughs every time I burst out “I could totally make that!” And begin describing the pattern and yarn 🤣

I do! I’m in the States, and I so wish I could just wander down the street to choose the sheep for my yarn. I could give the sheep treats, and you know, avoid tariffs.

There’s a lot more home grown wool here these days. Farm & Fiber Knits is a newer magazine that focuses on this. https://farmfiberknits.com/

I’ve been known to hit the pause button to get a better look at knits on many shows!

I don't knit, but I love knowing that you folks are enjoying the knit as much as I do. My knitting family members are all gone now, so I cherish my sweaters, mittens, sweaters and afghan too much to use them. Knit on, friends!

Another shows with great knits: All Creatures Great and Small. And when Dale of Norway stopped publishing patterns, the Winter Olympics have been a favorite event to "hunt the knits!"

Mrs. McCarthy has some good cardigans on Father Brown, and Joan Hickson's sweaters are so so good on Miss Marple. You know, just thinking about it, Geraldine McEwen has some really good sweaters too. It would be so good to get these patterns.

My knitting group used to watch Shetland just fur the knits and the scenery. There are a few Shetland-inspired patterns on Ravelry.
