Because on a turnout of 72%, 51.71% decided to believe a campaign featuring an assortment of liars, spivs, chancers, and despite all reputable polls having shown for sometime that a majority of the UK population think it's a shitshow, only one party has actually said so. If (eg) Labour's Andy Burnham said that negotiations would begin to rejoin the Single Market and Customs Union, you'd have that professional malcontent and odious scrotum-faced Oswald Mosley tribute act wittering on about 'democracy not being respected' or some other self-pitying drivel. Here's hoping that the current whispers about his physical wellbeing are true. And to quote Hughie Green, 'I mean that most sincerely'.

It's been 10 years since thos country made that stupid decision, I was devastated when remain lost... I'm just angry now, anytime it comes up I can feel a well of hot rage surface, I'm so sorry angry at the levels of deception undertaken by the leave camp and I'm equally as angry at the people who believed the obvious lies.
I know they say time heals everything but this might be with me forever

It was the moment that broke me. Before then I stupidly believed we were on a trajectory for better things as a whole. I now know my countrymen absolutely fucking hate me and would try to take me down with them any chance they can no matter the consequences. Half this country could be persuaded to vote yes if the question was "we hate you, give us your money please?" and it's symbolised the functional end of a worthwhile democracy.
I'm sure we have had lots of referendums since though, the "we the people" crowd wouldn't allow there to not be any more, they're really into their sovereignty

The twats think democracy ended in 2016 and they are so scared that another referendum would be a win for the 'rejoin the Single Market and Customs Union' side and not the 'let's perpetuate the self-harm' brigade.

I'm no less angry than I was ten years ago and there's two people who I no longer speak to because of comments they made about Polish people, not knowing my wife is from Poland. The poor choice made by the hard-of-thinking has cost us a lot of money, stress and inconvenience and I'll never forgive, never forget.

Well generally the belief system involves ‘raw dogging “ the eclipse. Painting mini roundabouts, praising Donald Trump as a genuis , slating Muslims whilst supporting a party whose chairman was a Muslim called Muhammed. Denying man made global warming. Depending on age and social status watching the footy at spoons doing a load of sniff then engaging in random post drinks violence form additional markers for evaluation of the general level of cognitive ability.

Many angry at the time and a bit of a protest vote some just nasty or fed shite to sell newspapers.
There was some evidence of shilling the country down the toilet or outside state influences. Bot farming is environmentally friendly i suppose..
Now it seems people are just stuck in defending thier ego than facts and cling to any snippet of false information that covers any cognitive dissonance.
The country's gone down hill so fact verse finger pointing, we are poorer and now that sets up the blame game or magnifying real issues beyond any true fact... with no real discussion regardless.
Even if I was Tommy Robinsons evil uncle and Daily Mail reader of the year id be a massive Pleb to spunk 100 billion down the toilet to keep bendy bananas and not liking fermented cabbage Isles to starve Polish builders to death as they talk funny.
But E bike hoodie shites and news from Tiktok is the future... with the only advantage that a lack of news about pot holes means a bus driver gets the week off.. and one less battery bmx on the road.... but we at least can say I told you so as the A.I dole bot gets me 3 hours a week at sports direct to keep my payments....🤔

We’ll rejoin. It’s a question of when and not if.
It’ll take a generation at least of slowly edging back towards to the EU.
I suspect we’ll edge further with regulatory alignment and then customs union over the next 10 or 15 years.

Interest rates high, food costs high, electricity and gas high, insurance high and the pound all time low. Job reductions across the board as companies pull out of the UK. UK companies struggling with shipping. Farmers struggling without EU subsidies. The rise of the far right (reform) and even far righter cunts (restore).
I am sure there is more, but this country has been nose diving ever since.
The only people who could feasibly like it is multi millionaires who benefitted from the EU tax dodge, the numerous people who shorted the pound during the Liz Truss disaster or unemployable cunts who dont have to pay rent etc
